Dr. Kurtz is the best of the best. I do not want just «anyone» working in my mouth. With five congenitally missing teeth, and four fixed bridges, one in every quadrant of my mouth, I have been involved with dentists in a «serious» way since my late teens. In addition to those issues, I found out, in the 1980s, that I «clench and grind», and that neck and shoulder pain, gum recession, and bone loss were the results of it.
There are many dentists out there, and I needed one when I moved to the Bay Area, from SoCal, a few years ago. Like many practitioners, they can do «the work». There is nothing that differentiates them from the others. They «drill and bill».
Then, there are people like Dr. Kurtz, who can «heal» you. Yes, there is a difference. Personally, I consider him to be a «healer», one of the few. His work is excellent, as is that of his hygienist, Judy, and office manager, Linda. But the real difference is that when I leave his office, after treatment, I feel «well, cured, and healed». I am grateful to my cousin for recommending him to me. I highly recommend him to you.

I have trusted Dr. Kurtz with my dental needs for 20 plus years. I have been rewarded with «All of the above». He got rid of my old amalgum fillings and he has done everything from root canals to crowns. He has also referred me to an excellent periodontist for an implant series to replace a bridge that I got before I met him.
His dental assistants and hygienists have all been very kind. He has been conservative with my mouth and he has never tried to oversell me something that I did not need.
His work is gentle and very painless.
Why not the best!

I’ve been going to Dr Kurtz for about 15 years and have had two bridges, fillings replaced, teeth planed and cleaned, etc. He and his staff are absolutely great.

Dr. Kurtz’s work is careful and precise. I’ve had cavities filled and a couple of crowns. I have never felt any pain at all and the crowns and fillings have worked beautifully. He also explains all the options available and the pros and cons – no pressure. Great hygienist too.

I HATE going to the dentist. Since I was a child I’ve always had issues with my teeth and I’ve always dreaded going to the dentist.
I did have a dentist that I really liked in Colorado and when I moved to California in 97 I would go home to see him because I was so afraid of finding a new dentist. I did that for 10 years!
After a recommendation from a local friend I starting seeing dr. Kurtz and his team and I’m so glad I did. It’s a comfortable no pressure environment where they don’t make you feel like an idiot for not brushing and flossing 12 times before lunch. Clean, easy to get to, there’s always street parking in the morning and it’s a he’ll of a lot cheaper than buying a plane ticket to Colorado.
