LifeShield

I have been a LifeShield customer for more than 2 years. The system is a great design, and really easy to install and extend. It has worked pretty well for most of the 2 years, but the last 6 months have not been good. 3 false alarms due to flapping sensors, and lots of sensors going off-​line for periods because the batteries die without warning. The base unit seems very sensitive to power spikes too, 3 have died on me in 2 years, even with them behind battery backup and power conditioners.
LifeShield’s customer support is awesome, and they ship replacements very quickly. However, if the core system can’t be relied upon, I am going to have to look elsewhere before the local police end up hating me forever.
Caveat: I haven’t had any other alarm system, so 3 false alarms in 6 months might not be that bad!
