By far my favorite place to eat in Albany. I often bring the family here for any meal. The homemade style to the breakfast is a great way to start the day and deli and pub style to lunch and dinner leave you satisfied. They have great Ruben sandwiches and burgers big enough for two. Don’t forget the amazing soup and homemade style baked goods.

Me and my son eat hear at least2 a month for last three years. No more. Worst experience I have ever had. Didn’t have what I ordered… said it wouldn’t be ready for 20 or 30 min… I ordered something else…30 min later we get most of our food …5 min later get rest .only one cup of coffee… in a dirty cup. Was it me or my son… don’t care… plenty of other places to spend our $$

Slow service. I wanted this to work out given it’s location but doesn’t seem like that will be possible.
The waitress was uninformed and only casually helpful. When asked about the dairy content in a menu item, she responded with «I’m not sure» then a blank stare for a couple seconds before she offered to go check with the kitchen. It was the right decision to ask the kitchen but that should have been immediate when asked the question about a food allergy concern.
The food was pretty good, which makes me even more bummed about the overall experience being less than welcoming.
They certainly don’t have an atmosphere that they want you to hang around, ordering drinks and running up what could be a pretty decent tab.
I’d suggest it for a meal but if you want to have drinks and relax with friends just not the right location.

What a nice place. I’m traveling through town on work, and when I saw the place filling up with locals, I figured it had to be good. I had a wonderful experience. Good food, and great staff. I’ll be back again, if I’m ever in town.

I myself have not went back. But it seems to me the few of my friends have and they all say the same thing but it seems like the staff are all just a bunch of friends hanging out and not caring too much about the customers. If you’re not in their clique you probably don’t want to try.

Fun friendly fresh place, Good grub to grab after long day toiling in own restaurant!!! Jolly loud happy atmosphere. Go for good times and sit outside (except now when it’s almost 100 out!!)

Loafers has moved up our list of regular eateries to visit. Okay selection of beers. Decent atmosphere usually (depending on the other patrons). Cuban sandwich, tri-​tip, and burgers are top notch. Most of the burgers are just a little different in the bread and in the dressing. Enough to separate them from the run of the mill RR type fare.

Second time we tried this place. Told them we wanted an order to go and they took forever to come take our order. When they finally came to take our order we paid for beers and left without ordering.

Found this as aback up when Sybarus was full. The service was friendly and attentive. We ordered a crab salad where the crab tasted old/​fishy. Bleh cheese burger had was overly saturated in cheese/​sauce.

LOVE this place! Doesn’t matter if it’s lunch time on a weekday or Friday night they are always friendly and happy to see you. Pretty sure they have the best sandwiches and soup in Albany!

I’m surprised by the bad reviews. We eat here quite often and enjoy the food, especially the Thursday tacos for 50 cents and their tuxedo cake. The Loafers Special sandwich is delicious and huge! The staff is always friendly and attentive too. Also, a great place to watch a football game in Albany.

We had the cheesy bread appetizer, it was great. I had the peppercorn tenderloin and it was perfect. My date had the pasta beautiful, also delicious.

You can’t park in the handicap spot if you need to use the unloading area as the owner is always parked there in her Big SUV. Obviously they don’t cater to the disabled.

First time I’ve been here. My husband and I loved it. He had a bbq bacon burger it was really good! I had a tri tip taco it was amazing! We will definitely be going back.

I wasn’t really wanting a burger but I ordered one anyway. Their Buffalo Bleu cheese burger was so yummy! It was a giant burger patty covered in buffalo sauce and blue cheese. The two flavors complement each other wonderfully. I also had an order of fried pickles which were really good.

I, my wife and couple we are friends planned to eat at this restaurant last Friday night, as we have been doing about once a month. We were, however, greatly disappointed to see the outside of the establishment decorated with numerous political election signs.
We go out on Fridays to forget about the BS in this world, including politics (whether we agree with those politics or not). As a result of learning that Loafers has now become a political organization, we didn’t even get out of the car and simply drove away.
