Impressed! Totally professional and on time. I’m so happy I finally found a great electrician. Dan was honest and took the time to answer all my concerns and questions. He fixed the mistakes that my last electrician carelessly made and now I feel my house is safe. I’ll definitely recommend Mel Carr Electric to friends and other businesses.

I had a tedious job that needed to be done. Other electricians had looked at it, commented and then never called back. Dave B. was very upfront about options, whether to repair and make safe or bring it to current code. In the end I settled for repair and safety. The job was done quickly (as far as scheduling) and efficiently. I will definitely rely on Mel Carr Electric in the future and will ask for Dave to do future repairs.

I have used Mel Carr and Dan A. twice now for minor home electrical repair. I am satisfied with the results.

Mel Carr Electric sent Jason C to troubleshoot a tripped circuit in our panel. Jason was on time, knowledgeable, courteous and fixed the problem straight away. If we have issues in the future, I’ll call Mel Carr and ask for Jason.

I’ve been using Mel Carr Electric as my go to electricians for years. I’ve found they have reasonable prices and always do excellent work.

Called at Noon and asked if I could get someone today… was told they could get to me by 2:30… got a call back at 1PM and they said they were on their way. Dan A. was excellent, prompt, and to the point. He was able to diagnose accurately and remedy a very problematic circuit issue we had in an old house we recently bought in Albany that was beyond my sophomore-​level electrical knowledge and tools. Even better was that he allowed me to explain the things I had already done, such as replacing breaker and GFCI outlet, and allowed me to explain my theory about how the house was wired, which allowed for him to focus on the most likely part of the circuit where the problem did in fact occur. It means a lot that a technician will take the time to listen to what a customer has to say, as this sometimes is helpful information! Often other technicians I have experienced in different respective trades will just «yup» you to death and proceed to waste time going through troubleshooting 101 A to Z. Dan was also very prompt, and arrived on time and completed the job within a practical span of time. Overall I feel that the job was reasonably priced and the expertise was ¹⁰⁄₁₀
