Not a must visit for me when I’m in Albany but for the serious bibliophile it deserves an occasional browse. Hours are very limited. The manager is chatty, to a slightly irritating degree, and one time the Muzak drove me out of the store. The collection is smallish but I have found unusual titles. They have an annex in the basement. The old building is a treat to wander around in if you are interested in vintage architecture.
To me a visit to this bookstore should best be one component of an Old Town walkabout, and not a standalone destination.
The store concentrates on Amazon sales and is very competitive in pricing.
