I was a client of Syracuse Laser Spa who shut its doors and told all of its existing clients to drive all the way to Albany to continue their treatments because they refuse to give refunds. As I assume most Premier Laser Spa representatives say, I was informed by one of of their representatives that their service only works properly when the clients receive 8 treatments. Like I stated above, before I was able to receive my full 8 treatments, Syracuse Laser Spa shut its doors and would not let me complete my treatment unless I drive over 2 hours to the Albany location. Further, the company would not provide me with a refund, stating that they are trying to find a legally suitable substitute closer to Syracuse; however, it has been many weeks passed since the company said they would reach out to its customers with the new service. Lastly, Syracuse Laser Spa has been completely unprofessional with its client interactions. They have been rude, arrogant and extremely disrespectful during my interactions with them.

The staff are courteous, kind and friendly and I’ve always had pleasant experiences here, but don’t waste your money with this treatment. I signed up maybe 2 years ago and got a buy one area get two free deal which seemed great at the time but it still ended up being quite expensive. I completed all the treatments allowed for me and the hair was still not gone. I continued to go for treatments as they allow you a certain number of treatments beyond the number you bought to «guarantee» that the hair is gone. The hair is still not even remotely gone, but instead has turned a blonde color. It may be thinner but it is not to the point where it’s like peach fuzz and I can ignore it. I am still having to shave as frequently as ever and when I went in for a treatment I was told that there was nothing they could do about the blonde hair and that«trying to get rid of it will stimulate dark hair to grow back.»(Which, I’m no expert but that didn’t make much sense to me.) Of course results vary and I suppose there’s no way this could have been predicted but unless it was in some fine print somewhere this was never mentioned to me as a possibility until I had already paid for and completed the allotted treatment. I ended up paying 3,000 dollars to lighten my body hair when I thought it would allow me to «never shave again.» Of course everyone is different but I think this kind of treatment was too good to be true and I’m sorry I wasted money on it.

Purchased many treatments here with a significant discount(know someone who works in the business) and am happy with the results so far! It is so nice to only have to shave once every 3 weeks while I am in the transition period to being hair free in those areas.(*they don’t tell you how awkward your hair will grow in until you finish treatments) Only thing is the management(like Lys W mentioned). It seems every appointment I go to there is new staff, or less staff, or staff that seems completely overworked. They got rid of my favorite laser technician, which left me in an uncomfortable situation of having to show my «private parts» to yet another person — just as I was getting comfortable with the other one. Along those same lines, I called to move an appointment forward a week so I could get a treatment before vacation. The receptionist actually said«we are a little short staffed right now so we don’t have that much availability…» Im sorry, but I still paid the same amount of money and if you are short staffed then that is your problem, not mine. I think management really needs to focus on the customer’s wants and needs, especially when we are paying so much money.

I knew going into my treatments that the business was in the business of making money. The prices aren’t published and it seems like every person is told a different price depending upon the ‘special’ of the month. I was okay with that because my price was matched to someone’s. Since the name and location change they seem to have too much business for the staff that they have or aren’t being managed correctly. The technicians make it a point that you need to keep your appointments true to your schedule. I understand that because different locations of hair have their own growth schedule. You won’t have a problem booking your next appointment the day of your treatment, but good luck if you need to change it. The appointment reminders are always less than 24hrs before your appointment. the few times that I have had to change my appointment the next available appointment is 2 – 3 weeks away. They can put you on a cancellation list, so good luck! It doesn’t seem like a way to run a business, but since you paid and are committed with your 8 sessions and two year guarantee, there isn’t much you can do.
