We are from s. Ca so we are used to traditional Mexican food. This is a great representation of that. Whenever my kids come to town from Alaska or Holland or even Portland, this is the first place they want to go to. Anything on the menu should make you happy. We always order the chips and salsa then save it for the next morning. I soak all of it mixed up in about 6 – 8 whipped eggs and a little milk for 30 – 45 minutes. Then fry it up. Add some grated cheese, sour cream and avo on top to serve.

Ordered the beef burrito with special fixing and ended up getting basically just beef and cheese, nothing else :-(

Worst nachos ever was short changed and when I asked about it she got mad quit speaking English. I ask to talk to the manager she started yelling the cook came out told me to take my food and leave. RACISTS to say the least. I will go across town to Muchos Gracias and get great food and service.

Great fresh salsa bar, food is always well prepared. Service is better than most of this style restaurants. Love the fancy new video menus. Wish they had one of these in Eugene.

Had the Carne Asada Fries on 12÷29÷14. I thought the meat smelled a little different but dismissed it. After eating I immediately began feeling green, and finally in the evening I started puking and crapping my guts out. 48-hours and a bag of IV fluids later I can finally move around again. Won’t be returning…

My husband and I recently moved to Albany, and drive by Rigoberto’s every day. Yesterday we decided to stop and try it for dinner. We both got the Rigoberto Burrito. Which is steak, potato’s and cheese, and they give you 2 different sauces in little convenient containers. It was AMAZING! The meat was tender and not super fatty or chewy, and they didn’t skimp on the cheese, which is really important to me, as I love cheese. It was also HUGE! I was stuffed about 2⁄3 through it. My husband thought it was so good, he went back this morning to try the breakfast burrito, which he said was also delicious! This will definitely be a new regular spot for us as it’s so convenient, and cheaper than going to a sit down place.

After hearing countless rave reviews from friends and family I decided to take my chances and try the small Mexican Fast Food/Restaurant Rigoberto’s. While nothing fancy, it is cheap and decent food so long as you don’t catch them on an off night and find yourself with terrible service, or even worse. I say even worse because out of the same group of family and friends, three of them eventually ended up with food poisoning from this same establishment. Personally I like the environment, the Mexican themed music and the normally friendly staff, but have had my share of trouble as well. While I have yet to get food poisoning, I have dealt with their less friendly staff once or twice and it was enough to keep me from going back. On one of these ocassions I ordered a Rigoberto burrito with beans and rice on the side, and ended up with the wrong order. When I took my food up to them to request what I had actually ordered, the person behind the cash register told me that was exactly what I had ordered, and shot down my request. I proceeded to talk to her and explain that wasn’t what I paid for, until eventually another member of the staff came up and corrected my order after sending the original cashier away. While the service hasn’t been the most friendly at times, the food was cheap and edible, but the fear of food poisoning has sent me to other Mexican restaurants in Albany such as Muchas Gracias, or Los Dos Amigos.

Kinda tasty… but I didn’t say that taste was good. These local foreign places are always a gamble for me. For every one of them selling good, authentic grub at a stellar price there’s another just coasting. I ordered a chicken Fajita($ 5.10) a bottle of real sugar Coke($ 1.75, me thinks) and a side chips and salsa($ 3 or so) The Chips and Salsa came out with the chips hot(WIN!) but it was full serving, good enough for two or three guys. Kind of a bummer that they didn’t offer a side of chips, only an appetizer portion, it would have saved me a couple of bucks. They gave me plenty of salsa too. The chips were good however the salsa tasted like it had sat around a couple days. I ate hoping I didn’t pay for it later(I didn’t). Big Fajita came out in a few moments. Nothing tasted fresh and it was all one note. There was not really any depth of flavor or anything. I couldn’t really describe the fajita if you asked me to(Best description? Hot stuff rolled up inside, spicy. That’s all I can come up with.) There was a TV playing in the background. The drive through seemed remarkably busy. Rigobertos could really do themselves a favor and chop all their veggies same day. It’s really apparent they a lot of the veggies sat for days. Kind of a shame since fresh isn’t any more expensive than old. Like other places of similar style, Rigobertos has a vast menu with maybe a hundred options. That’s NEVER a good sign. Trim down the menu and focus on fresh, those two things work quick wonders. Anyway, I’d avoid this joint if I was hungry again. Two stars for portion size.
