The best Latin food north of Hudson, NY. Fresh, traditional, well done. Friendly staff and great Margaritas!

When this place first open it was amazing. Now the servers are completely rude and disgusting to you especially if they make a mistake on your food and you pointed out they get extremely out of control. Me and my husband just ordered food over the phone he went to pick it up and they made a mistake, he was giving my rice and vice versa all they had to do was fix it instead the young lady(to keep it clean) was so rude and disgusting about the situation and didn’t offer to solve our issue at all. Absolutely the last time they have our money

Salsa Latina is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area! My boyfriend and I live off Lark and get delivery all the time. He gets the Chimichangas(even better than el locos) & I get fajitas(even better than Chilis). The guac is also on point. We never went to eat at the restaurant so I haven’t tried their margaritas… When I do, I’ll give the update on who truly wins best Mexican restaurant in town. stay tuned!

Been searching for good Mexican food in Albany since I moved here and finally found it! Delicious food, genuinely spicy salsa, and great service. Prices are very reasonable too.

The way I see it, there are two types of Mexican food. The first is, simply put, the real deal. By this I mean fresh ingredients, recipes and styles of cooking that have been passed down through the generations, and very little use of cheese-based products. Salsa Latina, on the other hand, reflects a second type of Mexican that most of are familiar with. I’m talking about plates piled high with food, a liberal use of the deep-fryer, and orders that appear within minutes of ordering. Salsa Latina is a totally decent place to grab a plate of standard issue, Americanized Mexican food. The menu is exactly what you’d expect — quesadillas, enchiladas, tacos, and chimichangas. You can order these items, or items like these, in basically any combination you might want. Most of the dishes are served with refried beans and rice, plus they provide chips and salsa for the table throughout your visit. I’ve had several dishes from Salsa Latina, most recently having the carne asada tacos. There was nothing about the tacos that stood out to me, but they got the job done. Their happy hour is pretty dangerous too, offering $ 3.00 margaritas until 5pm. I didn’t and don’t expect to be blown away by my experience at Salsa Latina, or anyplace like it, for that matter. The offerings at this spot are mostly run-of-the-mill, but sometimes that is exactly what you’re looking for. Of the many local restaurants like this in our region, Salsa Latina is probably the best.

I love this place! First off, the portions are a great size and the prices are reasonable. My boyfriend and I eat here all the time. The unlimited chips and salsa is amazing. I love the tres leches cake so much he asked them to make an entire cake for my 24 birthday and they did! They are really nice and service is fast. Great food, Great prices, Great drinks, Great SERVICE!!!

This is my joint. My fiancé and I eat here regularly, and I’ve eaten stopped in for lunch on several occasions. The food comes out fast, the lunch menu is incredibly well-priced, and the food is always stellar. Authentic Mexican cuisine, good margaritas, fresh chips & salsa. Go here and say hello to Ephraim for me.

Ordered delivery from here for the first time the other day. Got chicken fajitas. I asked to not be given rice and instead get two orders of beans. The order showed up with rice. Other than that everything tasted good and I would order from them again although it’s more fun to go there and that kind of food is probably better dining in. We always have had good food when we go to the restaurant for lunch. We are fans of the queso too.

Our meal started off pleasantly: decent chips and OK salsa served with cold Dos XX and a margarita. Unfortunately, it went catastrophically down hill thereafter. My wife, who adores fish tacos, was hugely disappointed. They were tasteless and uninspired – perhaps frozen and cooked in the microwave. I wanted to be adventurous so I ordered something I had never heard of before.(Rarely have I ever regretted doing this. Tonight was one of those rare regrets.) My meal, which I cannot recall the name of, consisted of a steak, pork chop, and chicken breast served over a bed of shredded iceberg lettuce and an odd cherry tomato. The meat was rendered into shoe leather which was slathered in an achingly sweet BBQ sauce. I’m still not exactly sure what this meal was doing on a Mexican menu. Our entrees were inedible. We left with 80% of our meals still on our plates. Suffice it to say we were hugely disappointed.

I’ve have ordered from this place for many years. Not anymore. On Thursday past, I put in a delivery order and was charged twice. I was given the run around by owner Lily who refused to return the charge. It is not the money so much but the lack of customer service. Lily and the Salsa Latina staff had a total disregard of their fault and any inconvenience they caused me.

Maybe if I got the 2.00 margaritas I would have been happier with my food. It was nothing special. It’s better than La Fiesta for sure.

Food was good, service pretty fast. Friendly staff. Parking is tough but it’s Central Ave in Albany so what else do you expect? I had Chimichanga, definitely reccommend.

Tried this place for the first time on Friday and it was really good. Ordered the chicken chimichanga and it came out perfectly crispy … Chicken was tender and tasty and you got a huge portion of rice with your meal … Plus the salsa and chips tasted fresh. Will defined my go here again !

Had delivery tonight and was quite satisfied. I had the supreme enchiladas, which were great and filling as always. Very professional, prompt service and very good food.

I love love love this place… I am a huge fan of Mexican food. And have been serching for a place that can ace my favorite dish the chimichanga… they put peppers and onions in it which I’m not used to, but omg was it flavored perfectly. the portion was huge and the price was average. I would deffinately come back over and over and have already told my friends

The food, the atmosphere seemed more or less average. The server seemed polite. I suppose I appreciated the tender steak, and the piña colada was okay — nothing extraordinary. There really isn’t much more to say about the experience.

Great food, great service, and a great staff. I order late and they still were will to take my order and stayed open so I could pick it up. I have ordered here plenty of times and the food is always awesome!

We ended up going here on a whim because Van’s was closed and they are right next door, but I had been meaning to try it for awhile. The inside of the restaurant is nicer than you would expect. The food is more authentic than Bomber’s or Moe’s but I think that’s about as far as it goes. The dinners are a little pricey but the portions are quite big. I ordered the Mixed Fajitas which consists of sliced chicken and beef with bell peppers, onions and tomatoes. Served with Mexican rice, refried beans, guacamole salad, sour cream, pico de gallo and three flour tortillas. Very good flavor, my only issue was the tiny tortillas barely hold anything and you need about 8 of them to use up the huge skillet of food they give you. If you have a coupon its worth checking out but the normal prices are too high.
