This is purely a pre-sale review: we ended up choosing a different solar company on the basis of their sales approach. Which is irritating to the point of harassment. We’d asked the sales person — Jason — to give us some information; eventually we managed to get him off the pre-canned spiels and get some numbers. He called back every day despite being told that we would call him and it would be a couple of weeks at least. Nope, he kept calling. When asked to stop, he said«No, my job is to keep calling you every day until you sign.» Voila: you just lost any possibility of getting a customer — which is what we told him, and he seemed perfectly happy to accept that and leave us alone. Odd. My guess is that his management rewards for activity and pestering clients rather than for sales; but in any case I would avoid contacting these folks, I’m afraid.

I’m not going to say«As good as it gets» in my rating, because I know that there is still room for improvement; technology is advancing by the second, but I have absolutely no regrets that I jumped on the solar bandwagon when I did. We’ve had our installation in place just a couple of months over one year, and according to the records which I kept up to the one-year point, we saved about 85% of what we had paid for electricity in 2011-12.
