One of the best restaurants in Albany! Can’t go wrong with anything you order. My personal favorites include chili, grilled pimiento and cheese sandwich, Nacho salad, and of course the baklava. We use them for catering office lunches too.

Great little place downtown Albany! Philly, BLT, grilled cheese and everything else were great and felt like grandma cooked it(I think she actually did).

Okay, I changed my soup and got vegetable and beef instead!!! It was the bomb, especially on a rainy day… The sugar cookie went fast, so I wish I would of gotten 2 of them!!! The are closed on Saturday and Sunday.

Classic sandwich shop in DT Albany! Great for a quick in and out bite. Don’t let the small size fool you from the large taste. From their soups, sandwiches and cookies you can’t go wrong with this location! Very friendly staff too.

This is a Downtown Albany staple for a quick sandwich & chips, a cup of the chicken & rice soup, and a piece if fresh baked baklava. Don’t forget a snickerdoodle cookie to go! Best kept secret is their cheese biscuits on Fridays. the cheese is in the mix. Make sure to tell Mrs. Mona hello!

My sister put me on to this place about a month ago and I have been back at least three times since then. That’s very rare for me as I normally don’t go back to the same place that frequently. This place simply have the best sandwiches in downtown Albany. Hell, all of Albany for that matter. I love their subs. My personal favorite: the turkey and ham sub. The bread is freshly made each morning and it is very soft. Their cookies are good too, but the sandwiches here are outstanding. They have limited hours and are closed on weekends. Also, lines are very long during the lunch period(about 11:30 to 1:00) so if you do decide to eat here during that time then plan accordingly.

I was visiting my in-laws in Albany and told them that I had to stop by the Cookie Shoppe to have lunch here. My mother in law agreed because she actually comes to eat lunch here pretty often. We got there right before the rush so we were lucky. I ordered the homemade hummus with pita and veggies, which was very light and delicious, something I needed after weeks of eating very hearty Southern food. My husband just had a ham sub sandwich, my son had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, my mother in law and grandma in law both had the pastrami rueben which they both enjoyed. We all got a cookie with our sandwich but mines disappeared before I could taste it. hahaha! When we come back to visit, we will be back!

Top for what it is. Give Mona a big smile and she will remember you forever. Munier(so?), her hubby, is always friendly. Food is straight at you good. Real sandwich shop atmosphere. Downtown Albany icon.

This is one of the best places in Georgia to have lunch!!! It’s a tiny family owned restaurant with the best sandwiches and cookies, wait did I forget lemonade!!! Let’s just say you have to get there in a timely manner because the subs will SELLOUT!!! The restaurant closes at 3p. m and everyone that knows about this diamond in the ruff is there trying to get there grub on. I recommend the turkey and bacon sub. You have to make sure that it is a SUB to get the full effect. They make their own bread and it is excellent. I’ve also had the breakfast and its good as well. I will say the customer service by the owners is a little ‘iffy’. At first I thought they were rude but they’re older and just have their own ways. Oh yea… the cute guy is their son(insert drooling)!!! Once you become a regular(and you will) its all good. Just make sure when you are about to order that you aren’t on the phone or it will be hell to pay!!!
