I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this place to anyone who isn’t willing to put up with a rank smell, rude customers and often nasty merchandise. The one plus side is the little vending machine– but that’s a risky move. As a size 4 – 6, it’s tough to find something that 1. Fits and 2. Isn’t stained/plus sized/forever 21/muumuus. If you’re looking for a thrift store akin to those in NYC(or basically anywhere else), you’re not going to find that here

Like most Salvation Army’s, this place is very hit or miss. That said, I’ve found some great pieces here(clothing only) hidden among the rows of maternity jeans and earth mama dresses. The prices here tend to be much cheaper than any of the suburban Salvation Army stores. The selection is also less picked-over seeming than the one in, say, Colonie. I suspect that’s because the location is a bit off-putting to people. I admit it can seem a bit sketchy, but as long as you’re there during the day(the place closes at 5 anyways,) you should be absolutely fine. Yes, you may have to deal with riff raff, but if you end up scoring an awesome tangerine mod dress with white embroidery for five dollars, can you really complain?
