Hunters Essentials

This place is awesome! Bruce is the owner and is really great. I purchased a few items from him and he was happy to answer any questions I had and even was even willing to negotiate with me on price. I felt like I got a lot of personal attention through the whole process and knew I could trust Bruce. I originally visited a larger shop on Long Island looking for a specific item. They were sold out and told me the wait was at least a week for shipping. So, I searched on Unilocal and found Hunters Essentials. I went over and Bruce said he could have that specific item delivered in three days. It came in three days and was in pristine condition. Hunters Essentials is now my go to shop! Other shops I have bought from do not give you any attention until they are done with their current customers (which could sometimes take a while). When I walked into Hunters Essentials, Bruce acknowledged me right away. That level of customer service is what I was looking for.

I was interested in target shooting but didn’t know where to begin. A friend recommended this shop to me so I gave them a call. The owner spent a good half hour with me walking me through my options. Very happy with my purchase and the friendly service.

I am writing this on behalf of my boyfriend because he does not have a Unilocal account. This is probably the second or third time we’ve dealt with Bruce. He was very patient with us and we had a very delightful experience.
Really looking forward to dealing with Bruce again. Give him a call before you swing by because he works by himself.

I was told to talk to Bruce about NY COMPLIANT AR that hr would have the answer but I did not find that to be true. He unintentionally misinformed me more then once. I give him a 3 because he’s friendly but wrong information is not good for business. NY compliant AR are available and they do have the stock for AK that I’m looking for

Bruce is all about great traditional customer service. Hunters essentials is a small shop, i am guessing this is part business and part hobby for him.
Prices are also reasonable, Bruce is willing to negotiate slightly, even for new items. Other shops will just give you a dirty look and the take or leave attitude.
Just remember to give him a call before visiting, as he is the only one runs the place, hours can be a little odd.
