On February 16, 2013 for $ 78.35(much more than it was worth) we stayed one night in room 10 of the Dollinger Motel. It was one night too many. The Dollinger Motel is on 213 South Main Street, Albion NY owned by the same people who run the Dollinger Motor Inn. The room looked clean at first glance but the bathroom trash can had a maxi pad wrapper in it and the shower was not clean. I suspect the maid didn’t finish cleaning even though we booked 2 days in advance and didn’t check in till after 9PM. The beds were very hard and the springs poked and could be felt at all times. They were the worst sleeping beds I’ve ever slept upon, and I’ve slept on pull out couches, futons and floors that were more comfy. In addition, one of the nightstand bulbs was broken and I had to swap the bulb from the other light. The bathroom door wouldn’t stay shut. It kept popping wide open which made for a difficult time when you’re trying to use the toilet that is only 6 inches from the door, and trying to maintain privacy while I was sharing the room. The room walls were paper thin. I could hear every cough from the next room which was accompanied by a very loud motor that would run every hour from the office side of the room. If I could guess it was a refrigerator or HVAC condenser kicking on. Room 10 needs new beds, a fixed bathroom door, and better cleaning in the bathroom. The noise pollution I guess is all apart of motel stay in a pinch.
