So, Malkcontent *finally* proposed… in February! Yep, that meant a Wedding was in our future! Come Late Feb. We were hunting for a location to do this Event! I mean, friends, family and lots of celebrating… I went searching on Unilocal, and the web. and ran across the ad for ABQ Party Space. Their rooms are a very nice size. We were planning a wedding with 30 – 50 people, so not too big… where as the room we chose would hold up to 110 safely. The Staff(Owner, and Desiree) was awesome, worked with us, helped us with all the basics we could get ready before hand. Our«meeting» anniversary was April 15, and we chose to have our wedding… on that date, this year… Yep a Wednesday! The rate was $ 139 for 3 hrs… plus an hour to prep… They actually allowed me to get in the night before and put things in the fridge so we had space to store and cool items.(Especially the cake!) I felt their choices, and payment policy was reasonable, and very much worth the fees we paid. My Pros: cost, we paid for our wedding ourself, it very much fit our budget. Helpful Staff, went over and beyond to help us get set up, and switch the set up from«Wedding» to «Reception» etc Has Decorative items such as Arch, and Sterno Trays so you don’t have to rent them. Was able to have an on-site bartender — we chose not to use this as we don’t consume alcohol. Has very dependable, reliable Contractors to work with. The Table Cloth Lady was awesome, and worked very well with Avery and his staff, No worry the items were there before I was! Cash is King… Ask them about Cash Discount(they may or may not have something available) Ice Chests, Tables, Chairs all available for use, no extra cost… even offered to set up a bouncer for the kids… we just didn’t have any young kids that planned to attend. Beautiful hallway and atrium location for Pictures after the ceremony. They have added strings of lights and swags to the ceilings to help with the ambiance of the place. I loved it… Bring a staple gun, and you are all set… No tape on the walls to cause dis-coloration. the tacks & staple gun held well and no question about things falling off the walls. Cons: Cream & Grey Walls(which were pretty neutral)… You can tell they have seen some scuffs, and use, but they were not the«focus» of the event for us! Had one small communication error… but I gladly over look it, for the price I paid!

Évaluation du lieu : 4 Fort Walton Beach, FL
Our wedding was more celebratory than for looks, so this was a good option for us, especially for the VALUE and FLEXIBILITY. I would recommend this venue for anyone on a tight budget, who is willing to overlook the lack of «elegance» of this space. With some new paint and a couple other smallish renovations, this place is heading towards 5 stars for budget brides! PROS: *Avery(venue owner) was amazing. He was friendly, helpful, professional, and flexible. He worked with us on packaging that fit our budget, and even gave us a military discount. *We were allowed to use any vendors for any services. *We were allowed to have an open bar, as long as we used their bartender(inexpensive), and paid a small alcohol license fee. *The staff are all professional and helpful. They were understanding of my stress on the big day; they recommended vendors and gave advice; and they were responsive. *The white backdrop in the large venue(our venue) was great for weddings. *The venue let us use any décor/supplies they already had, including a pretty altar, small fridge, ice chests, and more. *Free dance floor *The venue was flexible with our changing dates and times. CONS: *One of the venue’s walls is painted green(WHY?!). *The floors had a lot of scuffs— maybe more frequent buffing is needed. *Although the ceiling is high up, it’s an ugly brown/red color, and you can see the plumbing pipes and air ducts. *There isn’t a really good spot for taking pictures pre-reception, so I recommend taking pictures off-site or at your ceremony site(we had our ceremony at ABQ Party Space). *The bartender, though sweet, didn’t know what she was doing, even with popular mixed drinks.
