Aisles were clean, items were organized. Shelves seemed well stocked. It was easy to find the items I needed – just a water and another bottled drink. It’s convenient and there’s lots of parking if you drive. I’d certainly recommend this place IF you don’t care about customer service. The first time I came here, I needed to purchase a bus pass. There was no one at the customer service counter, waited there for a minute before I had to go hunt someone down. I’m new to town and she was made aware of this, but continued to ask questions like, «What kind of pass do you want? «She didn’t think to ask more of a probing type of question… in any case, the transaction was just a little more irksome than necessary. Whatever… minus an eighth of a star. So, I’m pretty simple when it comes to my expectations of cashiers. A simple«Hello, how are you?» and a «Thank you» at the end will often suffice. Today, I watched the cashier greet and thank the two customers ahead of me. When it was my turn: no initial eye contact, no words(just my total), no friendly smile(in fact, when I told her I wouldn’t be needing a bag, she kind of almost snarled at me maybe because she had already bagged my items … she hadn’t heard my request, maybe because she didn’t make any eye contact), and finally, no «Thanks». It was a «Here you go «as she handed me my receipt, also done with as little contact as possible. Even the bagger had a weird look on his face at the whole transaction. I maybe expect to come back again because it IS across the street from where I work… so, more for the convenience than anything. But I won’t expect much from the staff.
I rather like this location. Staff is always friendly and when they have deals, they have great deals! 4 instead of 5 stars cuz. the chicken at the chicken counter rarely seems fresh or well coated and fried. And the corn on the cob is always a mess. I went yesterday to get some salad and a few valentine’s day deals since it had just passed. I was very happy to see that the majority of the balloons were only 39 cents, so we got them all! I love their meat section. Good cuts that cook well. And my favorite 5 year old loves their donuts.

I have a love/hate relationship with this place. I’ve have been dismissed by the cashiers for them not ringing up my items. A cashier argued with me about prices with the exact item in the ad. Then got mad at me for having to change it. Then, I’ve had such amazing cashiers that make sure everything rang up correctly. I prefer going later in the evening, it’s when I get a better experience. I learned to also check all the expiration dates.

I now remember why I never shop here. This location is super slow. I had to leave my stuff at the register because the cashier was slow, rude, and couldn’t get it together. Sure the older lady in front of me was writing a check, but this wait was ridiculous. Left and tried to call to talk to a manager just to let them know that the poor lady was treated so badly. I called three times. Each time I let the phone ring two minutes. I finally had to be routed thru the pharmacy to then be placed on hold three minutes. It’s a Tuesday at 3:00 not Friday night!!! Come on guys self checkouts required. How about some customer service training while you’re at it. Tsk tsk.

I like a grocery store that I can get in and out of quickly. I’ve tried this Albertsons many times, because it is convenient. Unfortunately, they never seem to have enough checkers on hand. Be prepared to wait quite awhile in line at the registers.

Friendly staff and good deals on steak; however, their beauty prodcuts section was very lacking. I only found two lotions to choose from. With not having a drugstore near by, that’s a bit unfortunate.
