Ok, this place is interesting. When you first walk in it looks like it’s a typical Mexican restaurant. If you poke your head around the corner to go to the restroom, it opens up into a full service dive bar with a wide selection of beers on tap, sports on the TV and a pool table in the back. It was pretty divey and dark, but cool. I couldn’t tell if you could get to the adjacent liquor store(Bird of Paradise Liquors) from the restaurant, but you could sure see it from there! I was there for a meeting of the local homebrew club, the Dukes of Ale. The staff were very attentive and friendly. I was surprised that they didn’t have a list of the beers on tap. I asked for one and was told there wasn’t one, so I didn’t press it. Five minutes later, the waitress came back with a handwritten list of the twenty some beers on tap. To me, that’s service! I would hope that they take the hint though and come up with something they can show to their patrons. All in all it was a good experience and I look forward to our next meeting at this location. I didn’t actually try the food this time, there for the beer, but I’ll give it a shot next time so I can update the review with food info too.
