Although the food is good, the service is so slow and their cashiers are a little rude.

Pretty good green chile cheeseburger. Seasoned fries were really nice and crispy. Overall, not bad at all.

Yummy yummy yummy breakfast burritos! We stop on road trips! Staff inconsistently is rude but the food is good. Seasoned fries and peach shake(in season) are the bomb! Get a fully loaded burger with green chiles a little spice is the key!

Cheap food; great burgers. The other items are quite average for the price. I don’t recommend their shakes though… they taste quite artificial.

This restaurant chain is scattered all throughout Albuquerque. So much so that I made it a point to come here. It has a very catchy vintage-like sign that stands-out from the rest. I had mentioned coming here to several locals. Here and there during my outings throughout the city. The popular consensus was: * They used to be much better and * The word«breakfast» came-up several times. Very well then, I’m on my way and I ordered their Breakfast Burrito. I don’t know if they always do this or not but, on this day, their special offering was«Chile Over.» They had one already made strategically placed right by where you order. I mean, it looked beautiful. I couldn’t stop looking at it. I really had no choice but to order one. A few minutes later, it wasn’t in an instant like other fast food joints, my order was called. Long story short, I start opening my food to find a large burrito smothered in green chile, some shredded lettuce and two slices of tomato atop. The contrast of colors alone were tantalizing. I can’t imagine what is was like before because this thing was delicious and a far cry from the fast food style restaurants they emulate with their décor and whatnots. After seeing them everywhere, I went online to see if there was any 411 on them. Low and behold, it’s an Albuquerque original. Being a tourist and all, I just had to. It was a very good decision which I’m glad I made. I could be wrong, but it appears there are more locations throughout Albuquerque than they show online? I really could swear I saw them everywhere.

Located right off I-40 on Carlisle, this location is a super convenient way to get your Lotaburger fix, especially if you’re just traveling through. Clean, friendly staff, and delicious as always!

Great service. Decent burger-I think it’s more of a local thing. Sounds like service is far better here than the nearby location

Amazing customer service! And very clean and open seating. I will be coming back to this location again. The food took a while, but it was steaming hot and made fresh. The cashier was personable and friendly. She came out periodically when there wasn’t any orders being made and asked if we needed napkins, condiments or refills. She was smiling the entire time. Definitely a lot of pride in her work. I love that! Oh! And the food was delicious, as always. Blake’s never disappoints.

Food is fresh and fast enough to be convenient. Not bad as far as burgers go. Plus, they offer a military discount. It was different each time though. Once it was 10% another it was more. They should come to an agreement on this.

Eziquiel was on his game tonight! Not only did he provide exceptional service behind the counter, he stopped at the table multiple times to see if we were satisfied. The ‘regular fries’ were hot, fresh, and tasty. The lotaburger with cheese was juicy and cooked to perfection. To the reviewer complaining about needing a key for the bathroom, all we can say is just look at some of the characters emerging from the underpass to the south and those lurking at the Motel 6 behind the restaurant. Walk briskly to your vehicle when done eating and you’ll be fine. Before we forget, the chili cheese dogs are excruciatingly yummy, too!

I think this is a place you have to grow up with. Slow service, mealy, dry burgers, average fries, limp veggies, and you can throw a rock in Albuquerque and hit a place with better chili. The price is right but in this case unfortunately you don’t even get what you pay for. With so many other places offering a far superior green chile cheeseburger, the only thing Blake’s has going for it is convenience. That’s not enough to earn it a recommendation. Quite the opposite.

The food was tasty. Good flavored burger. The table wasn’t clean though and I didn’t see any napkins to clean it. The serrver was friendly but offered me something that after 3 times of repeating it I still didn’t understand. Not a language barrier. It was the store lingo. I would suggest. More of an explanation than that.

Their opening hours are posted as 6 am on weekdays and 7 am on Sundays. Last few times I’ve been waiting for them to open to grab breakfast before work. Sometimes they open 10 – 15 mins late and I don’t have time to stay. Staff are really social amongst themselves but offer little customer service. The Blake’s location on Paseo and Golf Coarse are outstanding.

The food was mediocre. The restrooms were locked. When asking the staff to open it, she only shrugged her shoulder and told the manager. He didn’t do anything. Obviously the staff is unmotivated and probably underpaid. Poor atmosphere. I cannot recommend this place.

Loving the local flavor! What an awesome gem of a place. Established in 1952 as noted on the photograph in the lobby I’m standing in. This place has rocking hamburgers and very tasty fries. The item Id like to mention here is their breakfast burrito’s. I’ve had three of them in the past several weeks, each one has lit me up with some pretty hot green chilie. Bravo to you Lotaburger!

More proof that everything is better the first time around. They crack the eggs, but instead of putting them in the burrito scrambled style(like the billboards indicate) it comes in the form of a patty with all the egg white part still in there. This is one horrible mess. The bacon was greasy and undercooked and the tortilla was steamed, but it had the tough and rubbery feel of being nuked. Hash Browns were shredded and might have been the best part of this half eaten monstrosity. Employees cackling away in Espanol and the coffee is way too strong or may have been brewed at 5am and not changed by 8am when I arrived. More chain junk. Let’s not forget the few flies who also have decided to make this place home. One was on the menu board — should have walked out, but donated $ 5.44 to this corporate entity instead.

I have grown up with this burger and it was such a treat every time! I would stop at a variety of locations throughout for years and years. I looked forward to it every trip. Then I heard a vile rumor that they had changed. I did not believe it, but alas it was true. New ownership of the franchise has changed a few things for cost savings and it is noticably different than it has been. The most important change, the meat quality has definately changed~ and so changed the overall balance of the burger so it went from THEBESTGREENCHILIEBURGERJOINTEVAH to… MEH This is just another sad example of cost savings that compromise a great thing. I hope there is some pushback to revert back to those little things that counted on several of their best items, but not holding my breath.

This place was recommended by fellow Unilocaler Chris C. who claims the Green Chili Burger was the best he has ever eaten… So I had to try it out let’s just see how good this burger really is. I arrived to Blake’s nothing too crazy standard building no real décor inside almost looks like it’s a starter business tables, chairs counter soda machine, real basic… I was greeted with a smile and hello and ask what I would like… I ordered 2 Green Chili Lota Burger with cheese & added Bacon & Jalapenos for heat… The burgers came up shortly and seemed pretty big and Juicy from the looks of the wrapper saturated in all the good juices from medium cooked beef… The bread used for the bun was very fresh and didn’t fall apart even with the burger exploding in all its juices… Bacon was cooked to perfection with lots of flavor, the hamburger itself cooked just as I asked… The Green Chili didn’t have much flavor but it was covered by the Jalapenos which brought the heat!!! I can’t say this is the Best burger I have ever had, but it was very good and definitely worth the stop!!!

For the price it’s awesome. GC cheeseburgers, seasoned fries, shakes, etc. And it’s better than In-N-Out. You heard me.
