TACCCCOOO… Tuesday. 3 dollar wines, beers and wells on Tuesdays. And they have 2 dollar delicious tacos. Around 10 pm there was also a dj that came in. It is the nonofficial«college night» in nob hill so I can see why they would have these specials and activities. The bartender was awesome and the tacos were really good! I got a glass of a local wine and for 3 dollars it was definitely worth it. I plan on come back here soon and getting more tacos and more drinks!!!

This place is my one of my new favorite restaurants in the nob hill area! All the food was delicious and the service was good. My favorite was the bahn mi pork sandwich. It was crispy and flavorful. The best bahn mi I have ever had! I love this location and the atmosphere is really cool. I liked the reggae music selection.

2 ½ stars. Okay. I ate here this evening with my friend. We met at 6:30 pm and it was dead, which was fine. The place was full with a huge 20 top by 7 pm. We ordered Palomas due to the description of salt & lavender sugar on the rim but when our drinks arrived, the rim was coated in salt. We asked our waitress if there was indeed lavender sugar on our drinks and she said that due to the winter season, they did not have the lavender sugar in stock. I ordered the calabacitas tacos, which were delicious and included deep-fried chile strips. My friend ordered some sort of seafood tacos and she really enjoyed them. I asked our waitress for a wine menu and she asked me if I wanted dessert. I said that I didn’t want dessert and that I wanted to see a wine menu. She told me they did not have a dessert wine menu. I then ordered a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and asked for the price because it was not listed on the wine menu. She told me that the glass of Sauvignon Blanc was $ 8. She brought me a glass of red wine. I am one of those people who really doesn’t care if wine is red or white per se but it was clear to me that my young and sweet waitress had no idea what a Sauvignon Blanc actually was… since my friend and I were on our way to a play, I didn’t have time to wait for our waitress to deal with the 20 top(and a couple of smaller tables that came in) to fix the wine mistake. In all, I paid $ 29 for one non-lavender sugar rimmed Paloma, one RED glass of white wine, and three delicious calabacitas tacos. It seems like this restaurant really needs to do a better job of training their wait staff and building the confidence of their wait staff. That said, the tacos were delicious.

Cool concept and space, but the food was bland and poorly executed. Steak tacos meat was overdone and banh mi had strange flavor combo. Too many other delicious places in nob hill to waste money here.

Great beer selection! Tried the fish and shrimp tacos, both where excellent. Finished with the ice cream stuffed sopallia, which was unique and delicious.

My buddy Jesus just hit a homer with this place. Combines art, food, music all under one small roof! The staff is friendly and the cook Saul is by far a diamond in the rough. Brought a group of six for NYE and will go down as a night to remember for sure.

We are here while visiting from Rhode Island. It was delicious and throughout our party of 4 there was no complaint from anyone! Great food and atmosphere, a must try.

In Canvas Artistry and Matanza, people of Albuquerque were treated to two new restaurants– each with its own very unique concept. Canvas Artistry has many attributes I truly appreciate. Local art adorns its walls, and the menu boasts regionally inspired food with some unexpected twists. Based upon all of this, we went to Canvas Artistry with high expectations. Unfortunately, the actual experience left much to be desired. To start off with, they did not have any agua fresca. Disappointingly, they were also out of a number of beers, and really did not have any local beers on tap. This was a bummer for us all. The disappointment carried over to the food. We shared a few dishes. The tempura fried spam musubi was an interesting concept, and was fun to share. The crispy pork belly banh mi was left unfinished, as the pork belly, usually a juicy, fatty, lovely piece of meat, was rubbery and overcooked, and the rest of the sandwich was quite unremarkable. I do hope that my experience was an anomaly and maybe we just caught the kitchen on a bad day. I certainly want to see this place succeed, and will give it a try again at some point. However, with subpar food and subpar beer selection, I came away unsatisfied on my inaugural visit to this restaurant.

Great to see a successful place go in Nob Hill. The concept of the place is very interesting: it’s very artsy, with a rotating art show. Some days they even have painters in there painting! The concept fits Nob Hill and the uniqueness of the area. Haven’t had a chance to try the food, the kitchen closes early. However, they are open until 2am on some nights which is awesome. They have a decent beer selection and a full bar. Their service every time has been great, it’s clear they are working hard to maintain a consistent environment. Keep it up!

We stopped here for a bite to eat and a couple of drinks late night on a Friday. I really enjoyed the ambiance of the place. The lighting they had at the bar had a trendy look to it. They had a dia los muertos room that looked pretty awesome! So I had the jalapeño poppers, margarita and the free agua fresca with check in. I was not disappointed! The jalapeño poppers were fresh jalapeños wrapped in bacon and had a kick! The margarita($ 9) had a perfect sweet tanginess to it and the agua fresca had a refreshing cucumber taste. They are all about art and had an artist painting right in the restaurant. It was neat to be able to watch the painting progress as the artist painted. A rare look at the artistic process. One thing I found interesting was the DJ they had playing along with a small dance floor area. There were some people dancing but not too many that would distract from your meal and drinks. This place was a bit pricy but overall I would go back in the future.

We stopped in for a mid afternoon lunch and we’re the only ones in the place. Music was a bit loud for conversation but they were very nice about turning it down when we asked them to. Food was interesting and delicious, with a nouveau New Mexican flair. Had the shrimp and pork corn dogs, the blue corn battered fish tacos and the stuffed sopapillas for dessert.

Some colleagues and I had a relaxed meeting and decided to stop in to Canvas Artistry. It has a nice environment for discussions, light food and drinks. I had the summer shrimp rolls with a spicy sauce. It was just the right size for a light meal or app with some flavor. The yogurt chicken sandwich was a nice size lunch and full of flavor! If your looking for a laid back place Canvas Artistry might be the spot for you.

What a cool little spot! I would give this place 4 stars, except for the drinks. I had the Paloma, and it was bad as in gross, and weak. I don’t know what it was, but it tasted terrible(oh yeah, and it was $ 12). I moved on to a vodka soda, which was pretty sweet because they accidentally made an extra one so our table got this drink for free. But this drink was also weak. I checked in on Unilocal and got a free Piña «Agua Fresca»(pretty sure it’s supposed to be Fresco). This was not that fresco but it was cool to add some to this terribly weak vodka soda. Oh, also, my friend wanted me to definitely complain about the price of her«double» vodka soda. Exactly twice the price of a single. No, you could argue about the propriety of this but… the drinks are weak. So it was basically a $ 12 single vodka-soda which is *not acceptable*. Haha. Anywho, the spot was poppin’, looked awesome on the inside with lots of colorful art, and the foods we had were good. Unless you don’t eat pork, you *must* check out the Jalapeño poppers. They were unreal. I wish I could still taste it in my mouth right now. We also had these calabacita tacos, which were super solid. If the drinks were better, we would have stayed longer and tried more food throughout the evening, but we bounced to Gecko’s because of the sorry beverages. I would give four stars if it weren’t for this.

After reading HOT reviews on my handy-dandy Unilocal App about Canvas-Artistry I knew I wanted to try it soon. It was a perfect place for a mother-son foodie dinner! Yes we are both major foodies that appreciate good food! We opted to go for a few appetizers and dessert. We did not go wrong with this choice. We tried three different appetizers. Chicken Wings the special of the night was 10 wings for $ 8.00, Jalapeño Poppers $ 12.00, Summer Rolls $ 12.00. We also tried 2 different desserts. The Stuffed Sopapilla & Coconut Flan each dessert was $ 7,00. We had a sweet server, very accommodating which is always a plus in my book. We also received a free Pineapple Agua Fresca because we had an awesome Unilocal offer! those always a bonus! Wonderful quality in the food. I have to say the gouda cheese in the jalapeño popper’s was an added touch from the regular cream cheese filled bacon jalepeno poppers we’ve tried at other places. The piñón ice cream in the stuffed sopapilla was a wonderful combination with the other ingredients. The only downside was biting into one of the chicken wings and it was raw, bleeding with pink meat. Somewhat understandable as it was a pretty huge chicken wing. Don’t think it was from an organic chicken lol! i’ll definatgely be back to try other items!

Loved this new restaurant!!! Great location in Nob Hill which makes it walkable. Happy Hour was was from 5 – 6 and offered some great drink specials. The menu was unique and fused a few different styles of cuisine together making for some amazingly tasty dishes.

This place is legit good. They had Palomas on the drink menu(my fave) — it was so, so tasty and refreshing! My little group shared the chicharron, carne asada, and shrimp tacos, the summer rolls, surf and turf corn dogs, stuffed sopapilla, and salted caramel flan. It was so, so good. We are going to make this a regular stop for our Fluids, Electrolytes, and Nutrition Rounds(aka happy hour)!

I live in the general vicinity of Nob Hill and like to be in the know of what’s new. Canvas Artistry is located next to B2B in the old Vivace spot on Central Ave. There is a good vibe and nice atmosphere. The menu is short and sweet, but the jalepeno poppers and street tacos I got were amazing(carne asada)! They also have some fun specialty drinks on the menu. I got a margarita that is served with red chile salt on the rim, yum! This is a fun spot to meet for a drink, snack, or lite meal.

Nearly 4 stars, except for a few things, First off was the music, it was too loud, i think they were going for a lively party vibe, but due to the rooms acoustics it was absorbing most of the treble and making the bass muddy and loud enough we sorta had to shout to each other across the table.(and we sat pretty far away from the amplified speakers) Second thing was the food, My dad’s fish tacos, were pretty good, although the accompanying sauce was very acidic, and even the smallest amounts overpowered the fish. My Porkbelly BahnMi was pretty delightfully flavored, although the choice to use cucumber medallions made for a slippery sandwich, and since the bread was unhinged and toasted i had to re-assemble my sandwich several times. Perhaps re configuring the slippery ingredients(shredding the cucumber) or adding some sandwich picks and slicing it in half A little side garnish would be appreciated too, All in all it was pretty good, with some room to grow to be quite good.

Cool ambiance, great service. Their unique take on food really works — saracha chicharrones made with soft, perfectly cooked pork belly is so yummy. Jalapeño poppers wrapped in bacon were great.
