Jesus and Valeria are warm, caring, and challenging teachers. I went for 5 days to study with them and it was worth every moment. They are great to watch dance and have an excellent approach to teaching. I enjoyed their positive energy inside and outside the class. The privates and group classes were both excellent. They give individual, precise feedback to improve your style and ability. I highly recommend a trip to study with them. Wish I could go every day!

This is one of the most incredible places in Albuquerque. Jesus and Valeria are top notch performers and people. Ana Maria Polanco from Spain was the best singer I’ve ever heard. The guitar players are top notch. They perform together as though they’ve known each other for years. It was a beautiful experience. We went a week ago and had to return the following week once we heard it was the final show. The venue is intimate and they contribute to the community in many ways. Get to Casa Flamenca pronto. Olé!

I went tonight to watch Casa Flamenca’s summer Tablaos and it was incredible!!! Such amazing talent, and what a special treat. If you have the time, it is well worth going to a show and meeting the artists. You are so close to the music, the dancers, in an intimate space, and they truly capture your attention and emotions. Incredible!!! A must see, a must go and you can speak with the artists after the show. Amazing!

My boyfriend and I went to a performance last night(6⁄28) and was absolutely blown away. It was as intimate as it can get. First of all you walk in to a house on the corner, in sweet old town Albuquerque. You walk in to someone’s living room. Literally they live there, dance there, have classes, and perform. You can feel the passion and creativity as soon as you walk in! It is full of welcoming passionate beautiful people. The singer Ana was flown in, she was incredible. Her voice was so strong, so passionate, every part of her body vibrated, was part of her voice. You felt it in your chest. The guitarist Alejandro is one of the best flemanco guitarist in my opinion. And the dancers… Jesus and Valeria dance with every single part of their body. You could feel the floor with every step vibrate. I have seen allot of flamenco. I have even danced flamenco, I have never seen a performance like this. Please help support local art, local culture, and people doing what they love and making it work! Olé

This place is an authentic hidden treasure in the heart of Old Town. If you want to see REAL, authentic Flamenco in Albuquerque, look no further than Casa Flamenca. The tablaos are an experience like no other in town where you can see Flamenco at its most raw and authentic form. I highly recommend this place for anybody who needs a little inspiration in their life.

Casa Flamenca in old town Albuquerque is an absolutely amazing place. Jesus Munoz and Valeria Montez are the real deal! They not only teach an amazing high quality flamenco instruction from beginners to more advanced students, but they both have years of performing in their own companies(Jesus Munoz flamenco and Valeria Montez«La Chispa») and travel and perform all around the country from Detroit, to New York, so they bring a freshness and intensity to their classes and performances. I’ve taken classes for almost two years with Jesus and Valeria, and let me tell you, they don’t mess around. This is flamenco zen to these folks and they are serious about the quality of instruction at all levels,(in a good way). They may be intense, but it’s because they really care about their students, their school, their city, and most of all their Art. They are«all in» when it comes to flamenco and they live and breathe flamenco. They have no safety net to fall back on and are therefore fully committed to the growth of this non-profit organization. I especially love the monthly«Tablao’s» that they have started recently. My wife and I reserved a table for two, brought a bottle of wine, and we felt like we traveled to An intimate invite only performance in a old world casita in Spain. Casa Flamenca is Intense, authentic, and unique.
