I googled dryer/washer repairs and this company surfaced. The online reviews were good, not on Unilocal though. I called them up and spoke with Maria. Maria scheduled to have Carlos come on Thursday, November 12, 2015. Carlos came to house and told him that I had checked the wires and one had melted. He diagnosed all the other wires to make sure they were good. He replaced the tip of the wire, reconnected, and tested the dryer. It worked. When I asked if he took credit cards(which I did earlier with Maria), he said he it would be $ 85 and if with cash it would be $ 75. I always asked if credit cards can be taken to pay for services and ask again to make sure. Otherwise, Carlos did a good job. He was nice, helpful, explained the wire components.

I was referred to Carlos and sons from another appliance repairman. The first repairman was unable to complete the job of repairing my dryer. I had been quoted a price of $ 260 to include all parts and labor. Since the first repairman was unable to complete the job, he did not charge me for the parts he had already installed. When Carlos arrived, he looked at the dryer and told me that since the first repairman said $ 260, it would be $ 260. All that needed to be done was a new motor($ 78) and installation. I asked why it would still be $ 260 since the first repairman said that was for all the parts(bearing, glide, heating element, etc) and his labor was only going to be $ 60. This came to Carlos’ labor being $ 180 for one-third the work and time. I asked how he came to this amount and he said it was a flat fee. I asked how can he charge 3 times as much. He said he was being fair and I should be happy he came to help. I was upset as it felt as though he was trying to gouge me since I was in a predicament. He told me I shouldn’t be upset. I asked why he kept referring to the previous man’s quote if they are two separate companies and that it seemed he was coming to $ 260 just because that is what the first repairman quoted. He got offended and said he was done and left. Completely unprofessional, I feel like I was being overcharged and he was not pleasant about it. Very dissatisfied with CP and sons.
