Desert Greens Golf Course

Desert Greens Golf Course– Albuquerque, Nm. — My review of Desert Greens is not on the golf course, as I do not golf. This review instead is on the Greens as a wedding venue, because that’s what we used them for. They are top notch! About halfway through booking with them, they went under some new management, and a lot of things changed. Prices went up a bit, but they did honor the initial prices which made me happy. Sarah was a great event planner, and she was always prompt and helpful with any questions or concerns I had. This was the best priced venue I could find in Albuquerque, and I looked at just about all of them. The views were great outside, and the ballroom was even better!
The food for dinner was pretty great too, and it was nice that even though we had a smaller bar service inside the ballroom for a few hours, that the golf course bar was right around the corner. It kept my guests really happy, and I didn’t even have to pay extra for that. They were really accommodating to everything, and unless this has changed since then, they even had a room of extra centerpiece items which saved us a ton of money. The packages were really nice though, so if you’re looking for any formal event or wedding, go with them. You won’t be disappointed! Our guests had a blast too, said it was one of the better weddings/​venues they had been to (though I’m guessing that’s mostly from all of the drinks, but still!) :)

While on the course this morning we had the worse golfing experience either one of us has ever had. My wife and I are new to the sport so we play as fast as we can but we don’t hit 250+ on every stroke. Your marshal stalked us for the entire first 4 holes. One the first hole, not more than 10 minutes into our round, we were told «i don’t care how you hit but you need to hit faster». He drove right next to us for the first hole and watched us for the next three. I am not sure how you think that this is an acceptable to treat your guest. We paid to be able to enjoy our Sunday morning at your course not to be treated rudely and talked down to by your staff. We have both enjoyed your course in the past but after today I am fairly confident that we will not be coming back. I will also do my best to enthusiastically discourage every person that I know who golfs to seek another venue.
