Great find for all things Far East! Great Sushi and Great fried rice(Chinese Style)! I had a fabulous Cashew Chicken! All veggies fresh and very tasty. Sushi presentation fabulous. My husband loved it! Best place to go for Sushi when with others who don’t like«raw fish». My father in law wasn’t to happy about going until his pork fried rice arrived! Great service we even got a beautifully cut orange in pieces for dessert(got to see it). The only«bad» Fried rice came before other dishes, but not too much before. Very friendly people! Check it out!

I came later in the day, right before closing time for a pick up, and arrived home with a to-go box full of dry sushi.

The restaurant would have rated 5 stars but for my most recent experience. I like their sashimi and their uni is always fresh-tasting. The deep-fried soft shell crab is good, too. The last time there, I decided to order squid salad. As soon as I saw it, I knew it was not house-made but I tried it anyway. This stuff was sickeningly sweet. Restaurants purchase it by the tub, frozen. Usually contains not so healthy ingredients like high fructose corn syrup, etc. I react to HFCS and believe me, the next morning I knew there was HFCS in that squid salad. I should have asked before ordering… I really wasn’t expecting something so disgusting. I will go back for their sushi and sashimi which I have never had a problem with and enjoy quite a bit. No more squid salad from there for me. A nice ika sunomono(squid and cucumber salad) would be a welcome replacement. It has to be made fresh and is quite easy to make. I grew up in a Japanese household with a mother who regularly made sushi/sashimi as well as typical Japanese fare. So when I critique Japanese food or food that’s supposed to be Japanese, I feel qualified.

I really wanted to give this place 5stars but nope, not quite there at that partivular moment. Here’s why. We ordered 2 kinds of sushi rolls, miso soup and tempura ice cream red bean flavored. The sushi rolls were good, the presentation was great! Kudos to the sushi chef! The service was meh. We came in on a weekend afternoon, and we were basically the only customer that day, one table finished and left shortly after we came in. The servers were friendly but frequently disappears at the back behind the curtain. We had to wait for them several times to come back to our table to refill our glasses, request for the menu, the bill, etc. Despite the unsatisfactory service, we are going to come here again for the food. I am kinda new in town so this is the first local sushi restaurant I’ve been to. I would definitely be going to try out other sushi places. Brought my brother here who is sorta sushi hater but I got him converted. I’ll step it up for him from beginner sushi rolls to some nigiri and shashimi next time. Can’t wait! :)

One of the few sushi places in town that doesn’t have weird hours! Service & atmosphere of the place is great — where the staff is super friendly. But, here’s the reason why I give this place 4⁄5 stars. This time around, I got the Alaska roll, NM roll, Philadelphia roll, & the yellowtail. The sushi rolls are big & I’m not complaining about that — but when you decide to pick up a piece w/your chopsticks, the whole thing falls apart before it gets to your plate. It gets annoying after awhile, in which giving up & using your hands is probably your best bet. Also, from my last take-out order, I got the udon noodles & the broth literally tasted like diluted soy sauce w/added sodium. therefore, I’m not a big fan of their udon, but their sushi is doable.

Fareast Fuzion serves up a variety of Asian cuisines(Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai). We haven’t sampled them all, but tried some sushi and General Tsao’s chicken. The salmon roll was fresh, flavorful and had a good texture. We also got a fried roll(Super Crunchy Roll) that was just ok — not bad, but not very flavorful either. I suppose that’s what we get for ordering Americanized«sushi.» Lastly, the General Tsao’s was better than your typical American Chinese fare — much more flavorful with a good level of spice. We’re looking forward to coming back to try out some of their other dishes.

Like to come in for lunch and get a cooked dish. I know many come to enjoy the sushi. Staff has always been polite and attentive. Cooked dishes come out fresh and with lots of flavor. Restaurant has always been spotless. Seems like a lot of pride is taken by staff to present a nice experience.

Surprisingly, this little restaurant is a hidden gem in Albuquerque, and one of my absolutely favorite places to get a delicious AND reasonably priced meal. The best part of Fareast Fuzion is it’s a compromise — I always want sushi, while my boyfriend wants Phở, or curry, or some other variation. I inevitably suggest we come here, and we both wind up happy(and thus probably eat here every 2 – 3 weeks). He loves the House Phở and Green Curry, I swear by the salmon avocado roll. Somehow this little place has the best salmon in ABQ without ridiculous prices. Make sure to check the board for special, and don’t be afraid to try some of the fun and unique rolls they offer. Prices are reasonable(though some of the fancy rolls can get a little more) for all parts of the menu, and service has always been good. Really. How often can you say service is always great when you’ve been to a place 25+ times? This places does it. The Japanese craft beers are also a plus.

Finally I have been WOWED! Mind you, I’m pretty new to the ABQ, so I haven’t had the opportunity to try a lot of Asian restaurants yet, but of those I have, I’ve usually been left wanting! Other than Street Food Asia in Nob Hill, most that I’ve tried here have let me down. However, this little gem in the middle of a desert quarry has infused new life to my previously disenchanted experiences. Finally a restaurant understands that proper décor sets the mood, if you will, and provides an ambiance, which allows a patron to truly enjoy all aspects of the meal. From the moment we walked in we knew this place would do the trick. A true sushi house where the sushi chef is in plain view doing his thing. Behind him… a giant fish tank to add to your viewing pleasure. Above that… a TV with the football game on, yes this place had it all. We were here for lunch and ate inside, but we did take an ocular visit of the patio dining area, which was very tranquil. I imagine at night when it cools down it is a real charmer. For those of you single folk, take your date here and eat on the patio and I guarantee you’ll get some serious brownie points. As far as the grub is concerned, YES! A big giant yes! Though I wasn’t wild about my wife’s appetizer choice of coconut shrimp, they were still OK. However, we ordered the Drunken Noodle Chicken dish and I loved it! A bit on the spicy side, but not too much and it had this hint of anise, which blended everything to perfection. I’ve never experienced this flavor amalgamation before and I really liked it. In addition to the noodles, we ordered a sushi combo plate that obviously was prepared fresh right there in plane sight. And guess what, they do indeed have a kids’ menu and you can never go wrong with a chicken teriyaki bowl. My seven-year-old ate every bite! Oh, we obviously had to top everything off with a couple Thai Ice Teas, and they were spot-on as well. I really cannot say enough good things about this place and I’m confident others will love it as much as we did. I think this is now on our Go-To list of repeat restaurants. By the way, it won’t break the bank either. So give it a go, you’ll be glad you did.

This is a mixed review for me. There was good and there was not so good. Service was very good. The waitress refilled my Tea and asked me twice if everthing was ok. The items I ordered were delivered quickly and accurately. The Fish was fresh and tasted good and the portions were above average. Now the not so good… This was by far the driest Sushi I’ve ever eaten. I had to soak it in soy sauce and Wasabi just to get it down. I had a Shrimp crunch roll and the«crunch» had the texture of broken glass with minimal flavor. The experience was not pleasing. For $ 40, I expect more… I’ve got to believe that there are better Sushi Restaurants in Albuquerque… Chances are that I will go someplace different next time. Maybe Trader Joe’s or Sam’s Club. Both quite possibly a step up… We will see…

This is the highest rated sushi place in ABQ and still just meh. Being from the East coast really ruins the sushi in this town. The seaweed really is greener on the other side… Anyway, I had the chirashi bowl. Some of the fish was alright, but most of it was clearly farmed because of the conspicuous dye jobs and lack of taste. Farmed fish just simply is not okay for sashimi; it leaves much to be desired. The presentation was pretty, but that’s not enough to make me want to finish my bowl. From now on in ABQ I’ll be getting my sushi from Loving Vegan — at least then I know I’m not supporting fish farms and eating dye, antibiotics, and hormones.

I didn’t actually choose FarEast Fusion. I went because someone picked it. When we arrived I was surprised at how small the building was. I was excited to see colorful umbrellas in a quaint outdoor seating area. Next time I may consider sitting outside — if it’s not 95° outside. They had a full menu, which is what I expected. Since I hadn’t looked them up before hand I wasn’t expecting sushi. Since I haven’t been terribly impressed by the sushi anywhere lately I wasn’t expecting great sushi. What’s even better was the godzilla roll. I haven’t had one in years. The godzilla roll wasn’t fried like some I’ve had. It was DE licisious! Great service too.

This is a great gem in the city of Albuquerque. I love this place! I imagine that in heaven there is an exact replica serving food in the afterlife. My wife and l love this place. How many other ways can I tell you how great this restaurant is. Probably 134 different more ways. I know, I keed though. The only deal is the place is adjacent to a rough part of the ‘Burque well known as the War Zone. I’ve never actually feared for my life while walking in their parking lot, so try to overlook that part. The restaurant is cozy and not pretentious, so you can bring the whole family. Even the little ones. In fact they even have a kids menu. My daughter usually end up getting the lo mein. Every time they have ordered it my chopsticks mysteriously venture into their plate. Let’s talk about the sushi. Even though they have a pretty large menu and cover different Asian dishes. Thus the name Far East Fuzion. We have a sushi place by our house. I won’t say the name, but let’s say that they claim to be sushi royalty. Get my drift they have a monarchy thing on their name. You get my drift. I usually order the sushi combo B here and when I ordered this at the other place there was no comparison. My combo B has large pieces of sashimi and nigri. Best in town. I don’t know how they do it. Maybe there secret is they get very cheap rent for their building and focus on great food for the customer. Either way if there was a way to do things they are ones doing it right. If you want Sushi in Albuquerque don’t wast your time anywhere else. This is the spot! Cheers!

The Thai Beef Salad($ 8.50) was really bad. Sliced beef, lettuce, cucumber, tomato, big slices of raw red onion, cilantro, chili and some sort of dressing was a straight up disaster. The salad was wet and soggy and sour and the dressing was gritty… felt like I was eating sand. I took 2 bites and moved it to the side. The waitress was adamant about boxing up this onion-sand salad for me to take home… which was uncomfortable. Bad food, 1 appetizer, beer & sake for 2 people left me with a $ 75+ bill. Next!

I stopped for a late lunch. It was lovely. The hamachi temaki was fresh and flavorful. I tried the salmon pineapple curry special. It was so good that I wanted to drink it. The jasmine tea was good, too. Service was excellent. Just the right amount of attention. My food came quickly, and I was left in peace to finish my pot of tea.

I can see why this joint is rated the highest for Sushi in the area. It’s definitely not your traditional sushi but that’s to be expected at a fusion place, right?! The interior is pretty nice and cozy. We opted to sit at the bar so we could watch the football game going on and to enjoy the fish tank. The gents making the rolls were good company as well. Their servers were very attentive to taking away our plates and bringing us drinks. Definitely wish I had taken my wiff here with me while she was visiting. The only real complaint I can come up with is with the imitation crab. Not the best I’ve had, there are far better options for imitation crab out there. But it wasn’t horrible either, just not my preference.

Sehr gutes Sushi Restaurant.

Hi, I’m Howie, a land-locked resident of probably the least likely state in the Union to offer good Japanese cuisine(especially considering the sad, sad loss of Kokoro, why lord, why?). But recently, sneaky things have been popping up: a little udon over here, some ramen over there, all of a sudden something fishy seems to be happening. The ABQ palate is seemingly craving eastern eats, and restauranteurs are responding. I’m also a Unilocaler, an everyday face-stuffer, your next door neighbor, and where do I live, again? Oh, right, Albuquerque. So Fareast Fuzion(ooh, so fancy with the Z) caught me with an unguarded eastern hook to the ribs. Speaking as your neighbor, I’ll admit I don’t know what great sushi tastes like, but this place lit me up. We had a few rolls: the Yummi, New Mexican and Spicy Tuna, that was enough to fill two tummies to oblivion. The standout, definitely, was the Yummi, appropriately named. The other two were stellar as well. Add to this some artisan spring rolls and a Japanese Porter that took home the gold, alongside great service, chill ambiance, and a patio that appeared inviting save the mid-summer heat that kept us indoors, we just loved it. It’s good for kids, too. We have an especially picky plucker, but she found respite in the edamame and rice, they scrambled her an egg, the server was cool about splitting the cost on her three year-old appetite. Five gold stars, Fareast FuZion, at this moment you medal in the sushi battle in the 505. Wow.
