Knowledgeable staff and great selection of products ! I had a bike fit done recently and learned a lot! Now I’m riding faster and more efficiently than ever before! And it was half the cost of most bike fits at other shops! Highly recommend Hawks!!!

Good shop. Despite the negative reviews, I think that the employees are nice. They’re not outgoing and super helpful but they do their jobs. You’re in and out in 5 minutes with a good deal on what you’ve purchased.

This is a great shop with a great space. I read on here that the employees are not helpful, but I would disagree. As a long-time cyclist and mechanic, I know what I’m looking for and I don’t have a lot of questions about the product and I appreciate it when I’m left alone to look and am ready to get my questions answered. I found the owner to be hands-on and concerned abotu customer service. For a fledgling shop, Hawk’s is doing everything right and is working hard to earn customers and their business. They have a great selection of parts and bikes and can order anything your heart desires. I also like the fact that the mechanic’s work area is accessible and you can see them repairing bikes and watch while it’s being done. I often think that shops are hiding something when you can’t see the work being done. Give them a chance and I’m sure you won’t be disappointed!

I’ve had one interaction with this business and everything went according to plan. I bought one of those online coupon deals for a full tune-up. I contacted the business and they were very flexible, stating the time frame I could expect for service, and I chose to deliver the bike on a Friday and pick it up the following Monday. Monday morning they called, shortly after they opened shop, to report the bike was ready. Understand that this two-wheeler had undergone serious wear and tear all summer long, several of the gears were totally shot and it was in need of some big-time repair love. I got what I paid for — not more, not less. Shifting was much better, some of the lines were replaced, but it wasn’t a new ride(not that I’d expected as much). The chain and bearings were smooth and tight and I was happy with the overall transaction. There wasn’t a big push, upon entering, on customer service. I was met a few minutes after I entered by a friendly but clearly over-worked associate that led me to the mechanic, and a few issues were discussed about the bike. The next thing I knew they were both commenting on my totally rad shoes — the company is called Innov-8, from Britain — and they told me that they were about to become the first NM dealer of this exclusive company. Big props, Hawk’s! These guys should anticipate a bright future, as they’re ideally situated geographically to serve a large active population in ABQ/Rio Rancho/Corrales. They do good work, from what I contend, and new business should spur more employees and better customer service. Overall, a good shop. I’m looking forward to another visit and(hopefully) an updated review.

I am only reviewing on customer service. I’ve been into the store 3 times and all 3 times have had poor or no customer service. Twice I walked in planning to spend some money. I am never greeted when I walk in the door and after looking at items for 1 – 4 minutes am not asked if I need help. Mind you this place is not huge and is one long space. One time I asked for help and the other 2 times after 5 minutes of being«ignored,» I walked out. Maybe they are under-staffed? Not sure.
