I’ve had multiple bad experiences at this place over the course of the past two years. It seems like they always screw up our order or we get really old chicken.
Just tonight I ordered a 2 piece order of just dark meat. They ended up forgetting a piece. There was only one car in front of us, but they don’t handle even a small crowd well. It could really use a manager that cares about his/​her business.

I’m a life long fan of the Colonel’s original recipe. At least once a month I need a KFC fix. This restaurant is the closest to my home and conveniently located on my way home from work. Although East Central Ave is not the best location in Albuquerque to have a business, this KFC location has always been clean, well maintained inside and out, and staffed by friendly, helpful employees. The food quality is exactly what one expects from a KFC franchise — no better or worse.
My only complaint is with how rapidly the service deteriorates under even a modest customer load. I don’t know if this is caused by a lack of training/​management or is inherent in the work flow, but this is the only location I have ever seen fall apart with the dining room 25% full and three cars in the drive through.
Better service under load would easily be worth another star.
