So I decided to get my booty up off the couch and head out for a walk. Headed east on Matthew I finally have a moment to walk through the, park which I’ve wanted to do for sometime now. Lush green grass, beautiful shade trees, not enough in my opinion, & lots of open space. This park is nice for family outtings including birthday parties &BBQ’s. However you might want to bring a few awnings as shade is limited in the areas not associated with the playground. It’s a nice park for a stroll around the perimeter, it has lots of room for soccer practice and not a lot of heavy traffic. I think I’ll walk through here again soon on a nice overcast day.

The Good: Shade! Sunshades surround each play structure in this park, and while they’re not perfect, when the sun beats down during the middle of the day, the shades generally protect the kids and keep them relatively cooler. Wood chips-yay! Newish play structure. Neatly kept green lawn, large enough to host most activities. Four big kid swings. Trees encircling the playground and scattered throughout the park. The Bad: No tall slides for the older set. Extremely limited bucket swing chain radius for the younger set. No picnic tables or structures for families or large groups to spend an afternoon around. The Verdict: For a production this audacious, it’s kind of uninspired. My daughter gets bored at this place rather quickly, and I think it has to do with the limited interactive, hands-on activities available. That said, this is a carefully maintained, gorgeous park in a quiet neighborhood and it’s well worth visiting.
