McDonald’s

The crew are some of the kindest people in the universe! They’ve always bent over backwards to fix any problems I’ve had. Additionally, the lobby is always really clean, and the managers, from what I’ve seen, have a good handle on their business.

This franchise colludes with a predatory thug named Armando Sanchez to put boots on cars in the parking lot for a $ 75 cash ransom. While I recognize the legitimacy of parking enforcement (where necessary), the hired goon at this McDonald’s has a history of legal violations with the city and his ambush trade behaviors inspire great community antipathy. In my view, this extortionate rent-​seeking racket signals that McDonald’s is an extractive blight on the University neighborhood rather than a valued presence. I look forward to the replacement of this franchise with someone local, someone interested in a positive contribution, and someone who can handle the MINOR (this is not NYC or LA, fergoddsakes) parking issues responsibly. Needless to add, I don’t patronize this place, and I strongly encourage any readers of this review to go to one of the many very good, local eateries in the immediate vicinity instead.

I don’t know what this McD’s is doing different than the others, but its just not good or consistent. It does seem to be one of the busier operations. Coffee was week and it looked like a 4 year old made my mcmuffins (they were all askew on the bun). Had to reassemble them in the car. How hard is that?
A+ for the dude at the window. Actually seemed happy to be there doing his gig. I think he was a manager. Good on him.

NOT HAVE AGAIN: the diet coke was weak.

This has got to be one of the worst McDonalds in the area. My standards are pretty low, after all, it is McDonalds, but this one consistently falls below my expectations. They constantly screw up orders, leave out items, and the food is not fresh. The drive-​thru crew is probably the least efficient I’ve experienced, and often times quite rude, not to mention the fact that over half the time they don’t even give you a straw with your drink. In addition to all that, they now no longer carry Chicken Selects. What the hell? I’m not going back.
