If I could rate this complex negative stars, I would. I am literally signing up to Unilocal to leave this review because I am so fed up. I lived here for far too long and have no reason other than I didn’t want to put up with moving. I’ve had a leak in my roof for two years. I call the office or maintenance every time it rains or snows and water starts dripping in on my living room again. They say«Oh gosh, I’m so sorry!» every time, then do nothing about it. The vendor that inspected the roof 6 months ago told me there is a puddle of water above my apartment so big that he has no clue how it hasn’t caved in and flooded the apartment. I don’t know how I have been calling for two years straight without results. Unless you want a legal battle or to have pigeon crap water dripping on your furniture, don’t move here. The most recent(probably fifth) time maintenance came out to *look* at my ceiling, I was told to «be patient», as though I were a child wanting a toy or something. Maintenance says the same thing every time they come«We have to let it dry to work on it.» and that’s totally understandable. When it dries and I call back to remind them, because they apparently don’t know how to use any form of digital reminder, they don’t show up. Right now, as I type, I have been waiting an hour and a half for someone who said they’d «be right over» to *look* at it AGAIN. Like the same guy doesn’t remember what it looks like, or that will stop the four inches of snow from melting above my head and drip drip dripping into the center of my living room. In addition to this, the wood under our balcony’s carpet is sagging and cracking so much I don’t feel safe walking on it anymore. We’ve had broken closet doors since we moved in. The office has sent away larger packages that I’ve ordered. The last manager, who lived in the apartment across from me, drunkenly yelled from her balcony«Pay your rent on time so I get a bonus!». They’ve called me into the office to fill out the same paper work at least four times. The three pools are unlocked for swimming maybe two months every year. My neighbors threatened my family who came to visit because they thought my family members were«talking shit». The same neighbor took her son to the another neighbor on the same floor and said in the next sentence«I need to get drunk». Great community! All of these things have been reported or questioned several times WHENOFFICESTAFFFEELLIKEANSWERINGTHEPHONE to say«Oh, I’ll let maintenance know.» Once back when we felt safe walking on our balcony, one of the«security guards» started shining a flashlight in my guests’ faces, asking for«the resident». When I asked if someone complained about noise or something he said«No, I’m trying to avoid something like that.» It wasn’t even past the noise cutoff. So apparently, you’re not allowed to entertain guests outside here. Now, are they going to charge me an arm and a leg for the dilapidation of the apartment when I move out before my lease is up because I don’t want to chance an apartment and furniture covered in pigeon feces water, getting sick from? Of course! Do yourself a favor. If you just signed a lease here, forget about all that crap and go live in a homeless shelter. You’ll be dryer and people will treat you better.

I moved into the Monterra apts 2 months ago. I was promised a washer and dryer and was not given one for the first month and a half. I was only finally given one due to constant nagging. I also had no closet doors for nearly 2 months. When the doors were put in they were severely scratched. They keep telling me that the doors will be painted but they have yet to be. At the signing of my lease I was told utilities were included but recently I was hit with 300 dollars in late payments due to an employee not giving proper information. I told management that I was given improper information and they responded by saying«she knows now». And they are still requiring us to pay the amount in full despite it being their mistake. Avoid Monterra at all costs!
