This school is owned by La Petite. My daughter has attended two other La Petite campuses, beginning when she was 18 months. The description for this school is a little misleading. The campus has two buildings — one for infants, up to pre-K and the other building is for the school, kindergarten through 5th grade. Both buildings require a key code to get in for security. We have been very pleased with our decision to enroll our daughter here. She started in August 2014 into their private kindergarten. Our daughter truly thrived here because of the small classes and dedicated staff — the entire staff. They challenge the students and make every one of the feel important. All teachers, from kindergarten(two classes this school year) through 5th grade knew my daughter by name. Our daughter was challenged academically, and supported emotionally. She went from a shy child at the beginning of the school year to a more independent child. She loved going to school to «work and learn»(her words). This year’s curriculum included Spanish, art, P.E., computer skills, in addition to the basics, and lots of field trips. The school utilizes the Character Counts program. When there have been the few times where there have been communication issues, there was always a staff member to meet with and address my issues. I felt like my opinion mattered, and any issue was quickly resolved. The staff is outstanding. The before and aftercare staff are great. They offer homework club to help students with their work. The hours of operation for this campus were just what we needed for our family’s unique work schedule. This is a great and unique school, and I would highly recommend the investment for any child.
