The Old Town Gazebo is one of the focal points of Old Town as it’s location is directly in the center of the main plaza. Vieja Park, where the Gazebo is located is also nearby the beautiful, historical San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church, so a traditional Catholic church wedding and a Gazebo reception is a good possibility here. This simple Gazebo has an adobe style framework in the traditional New Mexican style. It is a great venue for an event, but beware! As with all city parks, rental of the Plaza Vieja Gazebo does not preclude the use of the park area by the general public. So you may book a wedding or performance but the use of the park is not private. Also, there is limited street parking in the area but there are paid parking spots nearby. Because of the sad state of parking here, I had to deduct 1 UnilocalSTAR. However the confines of the location, it is a very celebratory spot that allows you the freedom to do your own thing with decorating, lighting and décor. The use fee for the Gazebo of $ 300.00 is due when making your reservation. The Gazebo rental in on a first come, first served basis. Reservations for the following year may be booked up to 12 months in advance until Nov. 1, at which time bookings for the remainder of the following year will be accepted. When I came by on a busy Saturday afternoon, it appeared there was some kind of performance going on at the Gazebo. This picturesque park and charming Old Town Gazebo is a wonderful place for any type of social gathering and probably has seen many happy memories made around it.
