Steak sandwich was pretty spot on. I recommend it. Took about two minutes to fry up with a delicious yogurt/cucumber sauce and some chips. 11 bucks is a little steep for lunch fare, but hey. Steak.

Évaluation du lieu : 4 Albuquerque, NM
Rumbling the Cradle of Civilization down you throat on four wheels, Albuquerque’s first Mesopotamian food truck offers a handful of sammies inspired by kabob standards and yogurt based sauces, and thankfully, the menu isn’t scribed in Cuneiform. Just in case you chose to forget everything you regurgitated about this ancient region of the earth back in college(other than«Well, it’s really friggin old»), here’s a little refresher: Mesopotamia is the area between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers in Syria, Iraq and Turkey. So it still exists. And once you get a bite of these eats, you honestly won’t know what separates this cuisine from that middle eastern joint down the block. But I applaud ‘em for sounding sophisticated. I split a beef and chicken sandwich with a friend when they were parked at an event on Civic Plaza, and the eats did the trick. As the girl at the window suggested, the beef was much better than the poultry. A heavier than typical dose of cilantro was probably the secret, otherwise the stuff was pretty pedestrian. Oh, and the fries were as American(er, French) as they come, nothing special there. Overall, it’s a welcome addition to our growing #FoodTruckNation, for sure. Here’s a note to the Nation about water: I really wish you wouldn’t charge more than a buck for a bottle(these guys charge two). Most of us have been to Costco, we know what you paid for it. You certainly didn’t spend the same on soda, which is the same cost. It’s just water, holmes.
