Penzey’s Spices

Such horrible customer service. My husband and I were excited to come here. No one greeted us or even acknowledged us. The old woman behind the counter kept staring with a rude look on her face and never said hi or even smiled. We will never go back there or give that place our business. The staff there need to learn something about customer service and how a smile or a simple greeting goes a long way.

Don’t know what Zatar is, but I’m gonna find out when I cook with it! Every single spice and blend in here is clearly labeled, with great descriptions of flavor profiles, listed ingredients, and suggested uses. I found stuff I’ve never heard of, including some exotic hot chiles I’m excited to try. The store is brand new (#78 in a chain), bright and clean, and the spices are fresh. Plenty of room to browse around, with friendly staff. Slightly higher prices than your grocery store spice aisle; hope the quality will be worth it.

Finally a place to get super fresh herbs and spices! They have only been open for a few weeks and are getting in more spices every week. Penzey’s has a knowledgeable staff that can help you through your purchases. I’m excited because I can replace all my old spices with fresh new ones of a higher quality than you would get at the grocery store (and in some cases cheeper!). From vanilla sugar to the curry section this place will make any foodie happy!
