Perfect Teeth

I can’t give dentists five stars but only because I hate going to the dentist no matter how great your experience is. That said, the last time I visited Perfect Teeth was probably the best dentist experience I’ve ever had. The staff continues to be amazing, and they didn’t try to sell me on a million things that cost a million dollars. Plus, it was probably the first time I haven’t had a cavity… ever. All about that. Also, I feel like their in-​house dental plan is reasonable. I’m a self-​employed artist with very basic health coverage that does not include vision or dental, so I’ve been opting for their plan for the last couple of years — probably going to put my wife on it soon.

Great staff at this location. They are very knowledgeable and caring about the service they provide. I haven’t been to the dentist in many years. That’s because I had a bad experience before. But after my experience at perfect teeth, I don’t mind it at all!

I really appreciate the competent and courteous service I receive here. Dr. Le has a wonderful manner and is so easy to talk to. She really listens and provides good information about what my options are. I have dental insurance and the office staff is very helpful in determining what my out of pocket expense will be ahead of time. The dental hygienist I saw was excellent and took time to answer my questions. And the woman who took the xrays and poiished my teeth was fun to talk with, also. I am a satisfied customer!

I go to the dentist, at best, once every 3 years, not quite my favorite place to be.
However, into Happy Teeth I go for my check up and cleaning.
My girls got theirs done a few days ago, and seemed to enjoy it. They even said our K was one of the best children they have ever had! They were great with her, so I figured they could handle a 32 year old frightened child as well.
Needless to say I went from no cavities to… well, not none.
Bri and Dr. Le gently guided me thru fillings and x rays and mouth guard fittings. If it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t have made it.
Then Stephanie cleaned my teeth and I was done.
Dr Le called me a few hours later to see how my mouth was feeling. I LOVED THAT!
The dentist is still not my favorite place, or even close. However after the way I was treated yesterday, I will go no where else.
The cost was not only reasonable, but after checking around, great!

I didn’t get far enough with this dental office to let them work on my teeth. They are in my insurance company’s network and agree to the prices set by the company. Once I got there, they inflated the estimate above what the insurance co allowed for the job, and insisted I agree and sign the estimate before they would work on my teeth. I refused to sign, called the insurance company who supposedly straightened out the fee situation, then called them to make the appointment. They said they could not fill out the estimate manually for me to sign, they did not know how to get the preauth off the interwebs, they would handle by snail mail, and it would take six weeks to get a preauthorization from the insurance co before they would fix my teeth.
Beware! Had I signed that estimate I would have been overcharged $ 700 or more. Turned out there are plenty of competent ABQ dentists in my insurance network who don’t gouge their patients. The one I found the next day got the preauth in 30 seconds off of the insurance co website.
