Pick a different eye specialist! I have VS P which covers the cost of the exam and prescription. This place then asks for your regular insurance information, makes up a diagnosis of allergies since almost everyone in New Mexico has some evidence of allergies. So they charge VS P and they charge your medical insurance for something you never asked for in the first place. Very expensive for the glasses, they didn’t even hold up and They don’t stand behind their products. The other review really seems like a paid advertisement or employee or friend or family when I read it. I’ve moved on, looking for someone with a better ethical and quality fit for my choice.

What’s better than a friendly French Canadian eye doctor with cool gadgets and a trendy office? Nothing really. Dr. Rob Lavoie is just that… you had me at friendly Canadian. The shop is in the area of the Flying Star on Paseo and boasts hip glasses, new designs and state of the art eye exam equipment. He has a cool camera that he uses to take pictures of your eyes real up close and then displays them for you to see and for him to see super up close. The typical eye charts aren’t typical at all, they are Apple monitors displaying the tiny little letters I can never see. Of course there’s the puffy thing for your eyes that everyone hates, but you can’t get away from that. Overall the staff, location and office is awesome. I’ve been coming to Dr. Lavoie for 6 years and he’s really helped me with my eye health, treating my awful astigmatism, dry eye, and ever changing prescription. Come check it out!
