This review will have to hark all the way back to August 1997 when I traveled through New Mexico on a cross country trip through the good old U.S. of A. I had planned to stop in Albuquerque at Dave’s B&B which is no longer extant. I was in need of a gym, and he referred me to Pride. Pride has great facilities, but even more important, Pride was a center of community activities for LGBT groups of various interests after the gym’s regular operating hours. It was a space where people of similar interests could gather and share ideas, concepts, demonstrations and socialize. I haven’t been back to Pride, but I certainly hope that it continues to be a center for the community as well as being a site for improving the human body as a temple & as an homage to those on Olympus or in Valhalla.
