Our experience with Pro-Oxygen has been nothing but awesome. The owners. Mr. and Mrs Summers are some of the nicest and most knowledgeable people I have met here in Albuquerque. They definitely know what they are talking about in regards to the benefits of oxygen. Dr. Stoller is simply one of the best doctors in the country when it comes to hyperbaric oxygen treatments. He was very patient with us and treated us kindly. Their facilities and customer service are phenomenal. We have been treated with the utmost patience, respect and comfort. After one visit of receiving oxygen, my son had felt the best he had in almost a year. I highly recommend Pro-Oxygen to anyone who is looking for an professional oxygen provider. You won’t find any better!

On a recent trip to New Mexico, I decided to try Pro Oxygen’s service. I felt extremely unsafe using the services of this establishment. My research after the fact only further validated my instincts, particularly with regard to their staff MD and who is noted on their website. Pro Oxygen to me seemed nothing like it was described and some of their practices made it seem like it could be a scam. For example, they have you do a Skype appointment on a tiny iPad with a Dr. Stoller who lives in a remote location so that he can«write a presciption for their service, which makes it ‘legal’.» When I google this doctor’s name there appears to be a number of complaints against him, one apparently still pending and involving«hyperbaric oxygen therapy». In that instance, the New Mexico Medical Board alleges he «…repeatedly, unnecessarily, and injudiciously provided medical treatments to a minor child for medical conditions that did not exist… included, but were not limited to ‘hyperbaric oxygen therapy’ and the injudicious prescribing of numerous dangerous drugs, including baclofen, diflucan, ketoconazole, and leucovorin.» This same doctor suggested I have Lyme disease based upon only a 10 minute Skype consultation. A subsequent test by a competent MD proved this to be baseless. In the meantime, however, this created an unnecessary stress-point for me. Furthermore, the New Mexico State Medical Board(their cause number 2014-031) states that this doctor«…publicly claimed, through a website, to be a diplomat of the American Board of Pediatrics despite a lack of current certification in that specialized field». My session lasted about 90 minutes and was punctuated by excruciating inner ear pain. They promised this would pass but it lasted most of the entire session; it took several days for my ear to pop afterwards. Both upon my arrival and after my session, they put what I felt was a lot of pressure on me to purchase an expensive package of future«sessions». Even Dr. Stoller suggested doing it daily(at $ 150 a session!) A respected engineer I have known for years suggested to me that it is not unheard of for these chambers to explode if not properly attended. He directed me also to read about it online, where there is much information about the potential danger and instances where it actually happened. Sadly, I felt nothing from this experience except a huge relief when it was over and further distrust of PROOXYGEN as a business after I learned of the situation with their staff doctor. I am very supportive and sympathetic to alternative medicine and integrative doctors who are often targeted unfairly by the system. But this situation is an exception in that they didn’t seem to care too much for anything but the money they rake in at $ 150 a session and what I experienced as poor follow-up. I cannot in good conscience recommend this place and I do not find them to be trustworthy or credible.
