Heard about this place and had to check it out. The different kinds of donuts make it hard to decide. Everything we’ve tried so far has been amazing. Very tasty!

This is the best place I’ve found for donuts in Albuquerque by far! The selection can be difficult to choose from(Blue sky? Bacon maple? French toast? Chocolate covered red velvet?) but once you make a pick you’ll find that it is definitely worth the price. A few weeks ago I had friends visiting from out of town and I wanted to get them some Rebel Donuts. One of my friends was especially looking forward to the Snickers. Sadly, when we got there one of the staff let us know they were out of Snickers for the day. After a moment they offered to go make one for us right then if we didn’t mind waiting. I was blown away by their customer service and will definitely continue coming here when an occasion warrants donuts!

Weird flavors, fancy donuts, and a cool ambiance gets 5 stars from this Unilocaler. I also love the coffee… coffee and donuts… hang on I’m having a Homer Simpson moment here. Oh yea, and free wifi. I think I know where I’ll be camping from here on out. I love to eat local and this is just a perfect example of why. The selection isn’t huge but everything is done well! There’s something for everyone, bacon topped why yes, cream filled of course, blue ‘meth’ donuts… ok well it is Albuquerque after all why not. One of my favorite places, and when you show up with a box of Rebel, people will move heavy furniture for you, or install the right software on your computer. Every work relationship I have is better because of Rebel.

I think the Golden Era of Rebel Donut has mostly passed us, sadly. I’ve had Rebel Donuts many a times since my first visit where I was initially blown away by the taste and creativity. Every single time I have another donut I become further and further disappointed. Their creativity is high, but I feel a lot of their creativity is throwing things people like in frosting and putting it on a mediocre donut. It’s not the same, it’s not as funny, and honestly the quality of the donuts have gone way way down. So, to the past Rebel Donuts, I love you. To the current Rebel Donuts, I’ll probably put up with you, but you’re just not the same.

I had a mixed experience with doughnuts here. The beginning of their business the doughnuts were tasty and fresh. I went back there recently the doughnuts were dry and stale. The staff was friendly and reasonably priced.

Cool flavors and they do different things… But, overtime I have tried their donuts they are always very dry, stale and require lots of milk to go down. Not a fan! I much prefer Duke City Donuts!

Stopped by yesterday on our way back to Dallas, tried 4 different donuts and they were all fantastic. 2 cake style and 2 normal donut style. My favorite was the Red Chili bacon chocolate donut while Mr. G liked the maple bacon bar the best. Would def stop by again if we passed through Albuquerque!

Nothing rings in a new year better than a blue donut! This is a pretty cool place, nice décor & half decent donuts. Their selection was surprisingly limited, though. Unique yes, but really not much to choose from. Decent coffee and it was nice to see the free coffee option for checking in. Nice young gal taking our order, but still not the warmest management feeling I’ve experienced. It was just us and one other customer in there & we were the last to leave. When leaving there wasn’t a soul to be seen or heard. They were off hiding in the back & out we walked. Whether we returned again or not didn’t seem to concern anyone.

Fat, cake-ish donuts that come in a wide variety of tasty combinations. We try to drop by whenever we pass through Albuqurque — our favorite is the Blue Sky donut, both because we’re Breaking Bad fans(the donut is inspired by the show) and because blue cotton candy flavored rock candy was always meant to be eaten on a donut.

By far my most fave donut place in town — the fruity pebble one is my fave!

What a GREAT donut experience. Someone brought 2 boxes to my office today and I had the«French Toast» donut which was scrumdileumtious! The ‘Maple bacon’ donut looked appealing, but I was going for size at the time. The last donut in the box. The last kid picked for dodgeball…“Blue Sky”(Breaking Bad) donut. It’s a donut with blue frosting donut and giant blue crystals of sugar on top. The lucky recipient of that poor«last» donut did not look disappointed. I cannot WAIT to pick some of these up in the future and look at all the smiles as my co workers leave my office with these delicious and imaginative confections.

We stopped here this afternoon after hearing of Rebel Donut on the news. My husband and I were warmly greeted. I was impressed at the crazy concoctions they had for donuts. We chose six: chocolate glazed, regular glazed, Boston cream, chocolate dipped red velvet, chocolate peanut butter and the blue sky. They were good and creative. I am more of a yeast donut lover, but I would definitely come back again. Especially because of their convenient hours!

I stumbled across rebel donuts on Unilocal last week during my business trip to Albuquerque, which happens to have breaking bad inspired Blue Sky donuts. When I arrived at around 8am, I noticed that they didn’t have any blue sky donuts displayed so I asked the lady in the front if they had any or if they were sold out. Turns out, they didn’t have any made and that they were expecting a batch later in the day at around 11.30am. No problem, so I decided to explore Albuquerque some more and when I arrived back at around noon, they didn’t make any as they had supply problems getting the blue rock candy. Mood was a little killed given I had to make 2 trips to Rebel donuts, but it was totally understandable, so I left and went back the next day. When I walked in with my fingers crossed, I glanced at the tray full of goodness. Hallelujah they finally had some! Unfortunately, the blue sky donut looked a lot better than they tasted as their other donuts(maple bar, glazed donuts) were much better tasting than the blue sky donut. If you’re a huge breaking bad fan and its your first time visiting Albuquerque like it was mine, by all means try it, but if you’re a donut aficionado, I would get something else.

On my way home… I couldn’t resist stopping in for a fro-nut and a donut. Rebels Fro-nut I’ve chosen today is Chocolate Decadence with a Cookie & Cream Chocolate donut blended in. It’s a flavor that reminds me of being a kid in my grandma’s house. My grandma would serve me up a fresh slice of chocolate cake and I would pour milk on it. Something about that combination just awakened my taste buds. The Fro-nut is a cappuccino mixture made with milk a donut and topped with fresh whipped cream. So kool and refreshing! Very limited on donut flavors left for the afternoon … I settled for a Turtle Donut. Yummy says this self proclaimed Donut Kween! Rebel Is At The top of my list today!

Solid! I had this place bookmarked for a few reasons. 1. Breaking Bad fame. 2. I read that it was their 3rd birthday today(June 11th) and they were celebrating by giving out special treats etc. June 11th birthdays are the best!(Mine is June 11th, also, in case you didn’t know!) I decided to bring my son Billy down here to check out their donuts. When is it not a good time for donuts? Maybe if you are diabetic? If you are not diabetic, then donuts are always fucking delicious! We drove down, parked and walked inside. When we walked inside, there was nobody else in the place. This was at like 4pm in the afternoon. There was one lady working and she was doing dishes or something in the back. When I said hello, she popped out of the back and apologized for the delay(It was no delay… we had just walked in. It was nice of her to be so courteous though!) I placed my order for a half a dozen donuts. I went with a double chocolate cake donut, a chocolate bar for my wife, a Breaking Bad«blue sky», a crumb donut, a chocolate mango chili donut and a chocolate, bacon chili donut. Since it was their birthday, the nice lady threw in 3 mini sprinkle donuts(my kid loved them) for free. In the flow of conversation, I mentioned that it was also my birthday and I think she hooked me up! I got 6 donuts, varying from basic to «premium» and my total was only a little over $ 7.00. I thought it would be more towards $ 9.00 with the flavors I ordered, but it was only $ 7.00! Score! The donuts themselves were delicious! The double chocolate cake one had drizzled chocolate on one side and sprinkles on the other. The donuts were moist and very cake like. The icing for all of them was more of a frosting, rather than a glaze. It was thick and delicious! The blue sky one had pieces of rock candy on it that gave it a good crunch. The chili donuts were great! They had just a bit of chili powder sprinkled on them… enough to let you know it was there, but not overpowering! The mango donut was probably my favorite of the bunch(I still have the crumb saved for breakfast tomorrow morning). Overall, these donuts were great! Service was awesome and it was extremely nice that they threw in free mini donuts to celebrate their birthday! If I lived close by, this would probably be my go to donut shop.

As far as donuts go, they’ve taken the crown. They’re light, fluffy, and most importantly, delicious. If you aren’t adventurous, don’t worry, they have the classics. But, if you’re up for something new, you’ve come to the right place. Coming from the Northwest, I was grateful to have VooDoo Donuts. I didn’t think anything would ever come close to it. Rebel definitely has come pretty darn close. Between the donuts, the staff, and the atmosphere of the business, this is the place to be! Plus, coworkers have a lot of fun picking out fun flavors :) Enjoy!

I have to be honest I believe there is more hype to these donuts than what they are. I have visited when they first opened and some in between times as well as recently and all times«Rebel» falls in the ~~~median NOW, I give them credit for the creativity with flavors & presentation but the taste is right in between a Dunkin Donut & Krispy Kreme, the last visit the donuts were actually spongy :( The customer service is always good, I just hope they can recapture what they offered in the beginning when it comes to taste & quality!

According to Unilocal,Rebel Donuts is one of ABQ’s highest rated donut shops. Upon walking in, I was impressed with the size of Rebel Donuts, the selection, and the knowledge of the staff. Our Donut Artist was very knowledgeable, knew exactly what was in each donut, and even directed us to donuts that would suit my taste buds. I like the fact that Rebel Donuts even has a tray with mini samples. We shared a total of 6 donuts. Our picks included the French Toast, Pancakes & Bacon, Blue Sky(ie. the Breaking Bad Donut), the Pumpkin Pie, Coconut Chocolate Cake, and the Biscochito. My favorite was the French Toast. This is a raised donut and tasted exactly like French Toast. You know we had to try the Blue Sky since it was made popular from the series Breaking Bad. My thoughts, this donut was a little too sweet and probably would have tasted better if it was raised donut. I wasn’t too impressed with the rest of their donuts and thought they were just okay. Overall, I was originally impressed with what Rebel had to offer until I had a few donuts. Maybe I came on the wrong day or wrong time. I thought that their donuts were too sweet and could have been fluffier. I thought that Rebel was just average in comparison to the rest of the candied donuts I have had in my life. Even if I wasn’t too impressed, I still recommend that you give Rebel Donuts a shot. If you like donuts with all the sweet junk that’s on top, then you’ll love Rebel Donuts.

How’s a girl to stay slim & trim in this town??? Adding insult to injury is this place REBELDONUTS!!! And the name, hellllo I too am a REBEL, so I had to check it out. Loved the appearance of the donuts & the taste, the fluffiness(cake donuts, light & fluffy… unheard of), pricing, did I mention the taste, ok yeah I did. I mean the design of it all, the sheer creative concept that went into the designing was ingenious!!! My chai was also very tasty & tongue teasing. I just couldn’t stop drinking it, helllllo #loveatfirsttaste Friendly staff. Ample parking. Wide variety of choices & selections are available. My only complaint, is some of the donut a had sold out by the time I made it, bummer!!!
