I’ve been going to this Souper Salad since the 80’s. It’s been going downhill for years. Today’s visit included the following: The ice cream machine was out of order(again). They ran out of soup bowls twice, with a five to ten minute wait between each. The muffins were stale. The soups were lukewarm and watered down. There was no fettuccine salad, and when I asked about it, the lady said she was making it, but by the time we left, there still wasn’t any. Our table wasn’t bussed. One of the workers was on his cell phone. It seems as if they’re actively trying to go out of business. I will not be returning.

You get what you pay for. This place has an average salad bar with average options. They were no longer serving boiled eggs due to a «nationwide shortage». The service has good and the location clean and tranquil. A definite good place if you are only wanting soup and/or salas.

Eh– what can I say. It’s a cheap processed fake all you can eat joint. Good for if you’re broke or hung over, but all in all– it’s an all you can eat for under $ 10– what do you expect.

This is the worst Souper Salad in Albuquerque. While the salad bar was ok, the rest was extremely lacking. The ground taco beef, which looked like it went through a blender, was disgusting. The mac and cheese was runny and flavorless. If you like this restaurant, go to the one on San Mateo, you’ll be better off.

Every year this place seems to go down a notch while the price goes up a notch. Such a shame. $ 19.22 for 2 meals and 2 drinks is a little too much.

There is nothing like a good, fresh, well stocked salad bar — and this was NOTHING like a good, fresh, well stocked salad bar… For the price, one should be able to expect better than«hospital cafeteria» quality cuisine — really, guys… iceberg lettuce? Even Furr’s has mixed greens on their salad bar, and you can get FOOD next to them; and for the record, fresh mushrooms are not grey-brown, hard boiled eggs aren’t mushy, processed turkey is not ham –and how do you screw up pre-packaged pudding and soft serve ice cream(not a rhetorical question, they were disgusting). The whole setup was a huge disappointment. Now, on to the service… If a restaurant advertizes that they don’t offer waiter service, things like straws and sweeteners should be readily available in the public area… WE were told that our waitress would bring us these things. It took us ten minutes to realize that the woman who was actively ignoring us WAS our waitress… we shouldn’t have to hunt for you, Dearie… you CHOOSE to work there, you should take better care of your customers. I think it speaks volumes that NOONE(customers or staff) was smiling, laughing or, in any way, enjoying themselves in this restaurant. Dining out should not feel like going to a funeral. Overall, this restaurant, and it’s staff, were a huge disappointment. Not only will I not eat there again, but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone else, either.

Military discount! All-you-can-eat buffet! We always go here for lunch when we don’t want to cook and want a lot of food. Their tuna pasta salad is pretty good and I like their soft-serve ice cream too. They have soups, a taco bar, salads, puddings/fruits, baked potatoes(even sweet potatoes), cornbread, etc. Not bad for the small price you pay!

This was place was, well, okay. Not as good as Sweet Tomatoes, but not too far off. Lots of choices! Lunch was $ 6.69 each.

Surprisingly good all-u-can-eat soup & salad place. I’m not usually a fan of such dining, and I don’t usually go out of my way for it, but I was with a group, we went, and I was pleasantly surprised. Everything is fresh, tasty and clean. Good lunch place for a workday.

what a deal… get it to go. they give you a square takeout container, 2 soup containers, and a little dressing container, AND a bag for bread. this lasted me through a late night snack. salad bar was plentiful, the soup was ok, and the gingerbread was soft and fluffy. great way to spend $ 7 bucks on 2 meals.

I’ve seen this restaurant so many times in different cities but never had the chance to dine there. It wasn’t until 2 of my closest friends and I took a road trip from Las Vegas to DC that we stopped here for dinner. It was our first night on the road and we decided to stay in Albuquerque for the night. Then, one of my friends recommended this place. Not bad! Wide variety of salads, fruits, soup, breads, pizzas, pastas and a baked potato bar. Definitely vegetarian-friendly as it is hard to find such a place for my 2 vegetarian friends. You just simply cannot go wrong here because it is you making your own salad and whatnots. Our waitress was friendly and refilled our drinks promptly.
