Great New York Style Pizza! We get the pepperoni green chile with original sauce and are never disappointed. The spicy pizza sauce is good, but you can’t go wrong with original!
They’re not open on Mondays and they deliver.

Top notch pizza. Friendly staff. Locally owned/​operated. What more can you ask for?

So after moving back into their service area, I got to revisit this place after a brief hiatus. Man this place has only gotten way more awesome! Seriously great food and beyond that, these people are some of the coolest, nicest people. They are also clearly big supporters of the Armed Forces — which is important to me.
Keep it up guys!

Best Pizza I’ve had in ABQ. We’ve tried the Chupacabra, which is really good, but I highly recommend the Devil Dog pizza. And if you like spicy, get it with extra green chiles. Calzones are good too, along with some wings. Yeah sure, it’s pricier than say, Daddy Johns, but it’s not only bigger portions, but also better quality of ingredients. It’s straight up good stuff.

AMAZING! Tried this pizza for the first time today and I have to say it is the best pizza I’ve ever had. I had the Lean Dream, YUM!

sauce was delicious and crust was just the right thick/​thinness — pizza was not super greasy like some places. Left over crust was a little chewy but overall a great pizza!

Straight up, this was an excellent pizza. Sorry America, I couldn’t resist. :).
For starters, the owners (managers) were two pretty cool/​friendly brothers who showed appreciation for your patronage… which is something you don’t always see/​feel when you leave an establishment — so thank you for that.
On to the Pie itself:
Excellent. In fact, I’d say it one of the best pizzas in town, hands down, period. I LOVE Giovanni’s pizza but this pie is right there with it on multiple counts. I know a lot of you out there love the pizza 9’s, Dion’s, Il vacino’s etc… but here’s why a place like this is so much better. It’s the dough and the sauce. The dough has a certain chew. This is a Huge thing back east and in certain mid-​west areas that only we know/​understand having grown up with it. It’d be like me saying all hot peppers are equal or «fine»…and they’re not right? Nothing beats a hatch chili… nothing…period.
This pizza is many leagues above the other crap in town — trust me. The ingredients are obviously well chosen/​purchased, the sauce is very very good — you can tell they actually applied a bit of chemistry to it. And the way they make it obviously shows they care, period. I realize I’ve used «period» as an adjective quite a few times in my review… just work with me here. :)
You can always tell how good a pizza is if it has to sit for over 30 minutes before you get to eat it and… and, ITS STILL Excellent!!! When it pulls apart and folds under as you try to place it onto your plate after it’s been sitting for 30 minutes — that’s a true testament to quality dough America! That’s what I’m talking about. I actually looked forward to toppings falling off a slice here and there so I could rejoin them with a bite of «crust-​only»! And for true pie lovers out there — I know you know what I mean!!! :D
My only bitch is that this place is 35 – 40 minutes from my home — And that America is my fault.
This is great pie, period. I would give them a «6» if I could!!!

After I read some reviews about this place I decided to order! Man, I missed this place and it was right under my nose. Great pizza! I went with the Dog Pizza and I wasn’t disappointed! I will definitely order again. It was nice and spicy and the crust was really awesome, «this coming from a person who leaves the crust» ! I ate this one! My only disappointment was the salad, doesn’t compare to Dion’s salad, at all! If they would only step up the salad, I would give them five stars! Cheers!

Devil Dog. Teufel Hunden. A term given to Marines by our German enemies during the Battle of Belleau Wood in 1918, World War I. The name has now been given to the best pizza on the
Straight Up Pizza menu.
The owner is a Vet, his son was a Marine and if you know Marines, you understand why the best pizza on the menu, would be given the namesake. The pizza is bursting with flavor and leaves your mouth craving more. Spicy and wonderful! So much good is going on here. Each bite has great things happening. There is a very good crust, covered by a terrific sauce. ***I get the Spicy*** There is the green chile and roasted garlic. Finally, for heat relief and flavor, there is Mr. Pineapple. They make a great team. I love this pie.
With apologies to Giovanni’s, this vies for best pizza in Albuquerque. If you think I’m overstating the case, try it and get back to me. DELIVERY OR PICKUP ONLY It’s a small, family owned and run business, but I’d love to see a dozen of these all over town. Worth the drive.
The sauce is finger licking good and the crust is one of the few I can eat without dipping into something else. That gives me an idea though… I should get extra sauce and dip crust in that! The spicy sauce is unmatched by anyone, anywhere, maybe globally. I love it. I will one day order the Devil Dog w/​extra green chile and see what that is like. I’m guessing spicy delight.
I’ve eaten it w/​just pepperoni + green chile and that was great too. I’ll update this if I ever try the salads, wings and so on.
In closing, I suggest you go today and get one. A slice of it will make your taste buds orgasm and you will be damn happy you did.

Love the takeaway pizza from straight up. We take home a margarheta and lean dream pizzas from them every week or two. Pizza is always good and a good value.

You know that feeling that puts a smile on your face when you eat a good slice of pizza? Well grab ur favorite micro brew and order up some za from this place, and prepare your Zygomaticus major muscle for a serious workout. Good balance, not greasy, and obviously fresh ingredients. We ordered ahead and when we showed up a few minutes early the pizza was just coming out of the oven. Not sitting under a heat lamp waiting. I can see why our fellow Unilocalers like this place. We will be back. Oh yes we will be back.

Tonight was the first time we ordered from Straight Up Pizza and we loved it. We pretty much tried everything. We had the Greek and Caesar salads. Both were fresh and tasty with good quality dressing. We had the hot wings but they were not hot at all. They were tasty but small. Pretty good for wings delivered to your door step. The chupacabra pizza was hot and spicy with green chile that tasted like it was freshly roasted, delicious! The carnivore was equally delicious with mounds of meat. Lastly, we tried the lean dream. We had them make it thin crust but it really wasn’t that thin. That’s OK because it was fantastic! The pizzas were loaded with toppings, they do not skimp! Most of all we loved the fact that they delivered. We will definitely order again. Next time we will try the calzones and cannoli!

This place is your all «Merican» pizza joint awsome food service an people I have it once a week it’s worth the weight an drive no matter what you get its fresh an fast I give ten million stars.

I ordered delivery to a local hotel while I was in the area for work. I took a shot on the carnivore thin crust and a Greek salad. The pizza was delivered hot and driver was very friendly. The crust had a nice but subtle crunch while not overpowering the sauce or meat toppings. There was a little kick of red pepper that added some spice to a well made pizza. The salad was mediocre, and I will skip it next time.

Ordered a Veg specialty with original marinara was very delicious. Very tasty with lots of toppings and fresh ingredients. Will definitely go back again and again. Bonus: we were given coupons with the take-​out menu for our next order :)

I’d been experiencing mad cravings for good pizza for weeks when I saw the stellar Unilocal reviews for SUP. I wanted to order a Chupacabra and my boyfriend wanted the Devil Dog – he won and we ordered an extra large Devil Dog for carry out. When we got there, they had accidentally made us a Chupacabra. They immediately made us a Devil Dog, refunded our payment, and gave us both pizzas on the house – so we both won!
And boy did we win BIG TIME. We were so hungry by the time we got our pizza that we scarfed a piping hot slice immediately in the car on the way home. The pizza dough was chewy and crisp in all the right places, the cheese and toppings were fresh, flavorful, and plentiful, and the spicy marinara sauce was exceptional. My bf was right – the Chupacabra was yummy, but the Devil Dog was crazy delish. That aromatic roasted garlic, sweet & tart pineapple, smoky bacon, savory pepperoni, and spicy green chile is a killer combo!
After getting such tasty pizza and great customer service, we are now faithful SUP customers. Next time, we’re ordering an extra large Devil Dog with extra sides of spicy marinara! If you love pizza, you’ll love SUP – JUST GO.

We’ve declared it the «Summer of Pizza» and are therefore trying pizzas all over town. So far we’ve tried Mario’s, Pizza 9, and Little Caesars, and Straight Up Pizza was better than all of them so far!
Our standard is either cheese or some combination of vegetarian toppings, and tonight we ordered a large cheese with regular pasta sauce (you can order it spicy) with mushrooms, roasted bell peppers, and hot hatch green chili on top!
It was reeeeeeeeally good. There is only 1 slice leftover and we usually have 3 – 4 pieces left for lunch the next day on a large. All the toppings were cut into small pieces so that there was good consistency on each bite, and they even added some fancy spices on top of everything.
It was one of those drives home that I nearly ate a piece of the pie before I arrived home to share with the fam. Next time we want to try the margarita pizza!

The pizza is good, very different in a good way, for this visit I had the Chupacabra, a fiery blend of Green chillies and fire roasted red chillies, with pepperoni and meatballs, the crust is good above average, the toppings plentiful, the cheese was a little bland though, 4 stars this time, need to try other nice combinations they had that looked interesting and unique nice place in a small shopping strip.

Yum yum yum! What a great find, tucked away in a grocery store parking lot. Ready for take out or delivery, their pizzas are hot, fresh, and SO DELICIOUS. The staff has a passion for what they do, and it’s apparent in each bite. We enjoyed a margarita pizza, and it was better than anything I ever ate in Italy, that’s for sure!
As supporters of the military, they do provide a discount! Much appreciated.
Will definitely be ordering from them again!

My Husband really wanted pizza last night but were sick of the same old commercial pizza joints, so we turned to our favorite app when looking for some where to eat… yep that would be Unilocal :)
Straight up pizza was the place that stuck out to us and thats where we decided to go. Upon arrival we were a little taken a back to see it wasn’t a sit down restaurant as we were planning to have a sit down meal, but my husband really wanted to give this place a try so we decided we would just get take out.
We ordered the chupacabra in a 18inch and a 10 inch personal cheese only pizza, I waited in the car but my husband said the customer service was friendly and this place is extremely military friendly and they offer a military discount.
I couldn’t believe the size of the 18inch pizza box when my husband came out to the car with it and the smell was amazing, I couldn’t help myself but lift up the lid and take a peek inside. I was instantly looking forward to getting home and my mouth was watering like crazy.
The pizzas were amazingly good and my husband is a huge pizza snob so for him to say its one of the best pizzas he has ever had is a pretty big deal, all you heard at our dinner table was «ummmm», «yummmm» «this is really good» the meatballs were amazing and the spicy marinara sauce added a wonderful kick. The pizza was cooked to perfection and I really couldnt think of anything to complain about the toppings were generous.
We don’t exactly live close to this place but both my husband and I said it worth the drive so this will be our new pizza joint. We are super excited to try out the other pizzas on the menu…
