Tech Love

Love this place. Great location. Tom offers free candy to munch while you’re there. Very reasonable price, $ 5 donation for a day. Often when I come I’m the only one there, but that’s probably because I don’t often get there until 4 or 5 pm. Even so I always find my time there worthwhile.
I’d love it if they were open later, but he pretty much runs this as an adjunct to his computer repair business, and he also rents the space out to other community events in the evenings.
Great local art and a museum of old Apple hardware adorns the walls. Comfy couches, fast wi-​fi, and an espresso bar open till about 2 or so.
Tom is an awesome guy, very helpful, friendly, and great to chat with, and he lets me pay him with Dwolla, which is awesome. You can also make a cash donation or use your credit card (with Square, i think). But I like using Dwolla because it keeps more money in his pocket (transactions under $ 10 are free, over $ 10 is only $ 0.25 per transaction).
I also love the billboard in the bathroom, it’s one of those ABQ Community events deals that’s updated every month (can’t remember the name of it), and always has cool and interesting stuff listed, things I probably wouldn’t have found out about otherwise.

Of all the coworking spaces in Albuquerque, TechLove is my favorite. You can get in and work all day for a mere $ 5. There are comfortable couches. And, most of all, Tom, the owner, is an amazingly gracious host.

TechLove is a great space. One of my favorite events is the WordPress Meetup & Coworking, which is a great way to meet and connect with the wonderful creatives and devs around Albuquerque. Also, a great way to escape the work office, or home office when you’re ready to change your environment and break out of the norm! Love the environment, the people and the space.
