I had a really bad experience here the other day. While attempting to have a romantic couples massage with my husband, «candle light» blah blah. Non of that occurred. There were no candles, at all! The room they took us in to get the massage was literally freezing! No heating pads on the massage tables either! Every time they uncovered a body part to massage, I shivered and hated every moment of it. I told them how miserable our experience was but they only offer 15% off our next visit, news flash. Not going back!

I love this place. Walter and Chris are great massage therapists. And everyone is friendly.

Went to the back porch day spa today. Lets start from the beginning the front desk staff are very nice and make u feel right at home. I started my day with a facial it was ok that’s why I gave it 4 stars. But the day got great from there great a massage and body scrub from k.c. She is amazing I would recommend her to anyone. I will be back soon.

Alright, let’s be honest here. The lobby and relaxation rooms need an update. I suggest you go in expecting that and give these guys a chance. They give great services and are affordable. I took my bestie here for her birthday on a Saturday. I called ahead and scheduled a package for the two of us, telling the nice lady who answered that we were not interested in the«romance» part of the package, but wanted the Sweet Surrender package for $ 200, which included a 30 minute foot treatment and a one hour massage for two people. They were happy to accommodate us, and they called with a reminder the day before — which, as a professional space cadet, I truly appreciated. The place is in the NE Heights, which is convenient, and when we showed up I had a moment’s pause based on the very neighborhood-appropriate shabby-semi-chic-ness of the parking lot and entrance. When I walked in, it was a bit claustrophobic. You are getting better services and prices but you pay for it in low(and I do mean physically LOW) overhead. The 1940s style stucco home from whence it came has drop ceilings which are then semi-covered in lattice work wtih faux vines laced through them. Yes, it is certainly cheesy, and if you wish to pay double to get something that looks like a Santa Fe day spa, get down with your bad self. Or you can just roll with it and you will find that these are some really great people giving a really great service at a really great price.

I’ve had three massages at the Back Porch and they’ve all been good experiences. This is a family-run business that’s been in our neighborhood for years and years. Friday’s and weekends the parking lot is usually pretty full. Everyone I met there has been warm and welcoming. They’ve made an effort to create a pleasant atmosphere but you can tell it was done with a tight budget — lots of artificial plants. All my treatments have been professional, well executed, relaxing and enjoyable.
