The carne asada burrito is sensational. The highest quality Mexican food in Albuquerque. Customer service is outstanding and genuine.

The best carne asada fries I’ve had. I appreciate their weird hours if you’re looking for a last minute snack. Inconvenient parking and always loud, obnoxious drunk people flocking the entrance.

On Tuesdays(and apparently Thursday’s as well), the fish tacos are only $ 1 and totally worth the price. They’re pretty stingy on the salsa and other toppings, though. If you ask for heavy salsa, they charge .50 you without letting you know, and you really can’t tell the difference in the amount. However, the fish tacos are really the only reason to ever go here. Their carne asada fries are a whopping $ 10.95(wtf), and in my opinion, not at all worth it. Slathered in sauce, and very little meat, I wouldn’t shell out $ 11 for them again.

The wait was long. When we got our food though, everyone enjoyed. Great«street» food. Heavy but very tasty. We’ll need to give it another try. The lack of tables makes it awkward to visit, so it’s ideal for takeout.

These tacos are my friends, so when I eat them I’m sad because then I’m lonely, but their delicious memory lives on. RIP tacos in my belly.

It’s after 10pm, you’ve been out socializing and having a grand time. For whatever reason you have the munchies… Whipping out your trusty Unilocal app reveals slim choices at this time of the night. But looky here-The Last Call IS open and they have Mexican food! Your friends are amazed at your local knowledge! You proceed to tear up some Cali Burritos then jump in an Über and laugh about it the next day. The food at The Last Call isn’t quite in the same league as my normal business hours favorites but as the name suggests they are your friends after dark and beyond. The heaps of potato and spicy mayo don’t usually appeal but they catch you at the right time. This place isn’t bad. It’s not great. The Last Call gets the job done for the late-night crowd.

Went to Albuquerque on short vacation for the balloon festival, and decided to grab some midnight grub on my way back. Like most people unfamiliar to a city’s delicacies, I decided to hit up Unilocal, and found this small little Mexican joint on an inconspicuous corner near The University of New Mexico. It’s kind of a bizarre place. The hours of the restaurant follow unusual rules and the entrance opens up to the cash register and kitchen, so there in no indoor seating. It’s very much a grab and go type of situation. Being an AZ native, I have had my fair share of carne asada burritos, but this one was so immaculate and so unique. The meat was flavorful, the tortilla was perfectly soft, and the spicy aioli sauce sent this bundle of delicious over the edge! It is not the traditional burrito you would find in most places, but that is what made it stand out the most. No joke, I have dreams of tasting this burrito again, and I am jealous that these UNM college kids have such a great spot to quell their drunken hunger pangs.

The legendary carne asada fries, popular at its Nob Hill location, are now available downtown! The next thing I will try are the fish tacos, which, while not as good as Sharky’s on West Central, are the next best in Burque.

Flew in late and was starving, Unilocalers had high review for this place and I love hole in the walls. Ironically this is as close to the definition of hole in the wall as it gets. You walk in and your in the kitchen! Food tasted fresh down to the flour tortilla which is always a personal victory, fresh flour tortillas. I had the California burrito which i dont eat when im at home, in Cali, it was recommended as the best seller so I said why not. Didn’t regret it, open late, and, a unique experience but you have to go to understand.

3 veggie tacos were great! Loved the mix of different veggies and the flavors all went well together. I opted for no cheese and no chili and it was great!(It’s too spicy for me with the chili) Hole in the wall place, only room for 2 people when you walk in to place your order. And parking is difficult on a busy night.

If it weren’t for the good food and lack of other open establishments in the area, I wouldn’t come here. The food makes up for the service and inconsistency. Some times more than others. They’re definitely not professional. They gave away my order of carne asada fries to someone they knew and made me wait longer for my order.

This place is hands down one of the best hole in the wall Mexican eateries around. The $ 1 fish tacos are the best with the habanero salsa and pickled cabbage! You can’t beat that especially since they close at 230 am! Everyone is friendly and the only downside is no seating or restrooms! They just recently got some chairs for the outside though! Tip– go to imbibe for restrooms!

The food here is incredible. The fish taco Tuesday is a great deal. The only real downside for me is that they NEVER answer their phone. One of the times that someone did answer, I was told off by some rude women who was trying to make an outside call.

The Last Call is AMAZING. Nothing beats a California burrito or carne asada fries. I would recommend not going at 1 am on a Friday/Saturday night. It’s definitely the spot mobs of people go to after the bars. You can go in the evening or maybe even around 11 pm and you won’t have to wait but after midnight expect a line and take it to go because there is no seating. Staff is also really efficient! On the other hand, if you are going out to the bars and know you need a post-bar snack then go here. It’s walking distance from Monte vista and imbibe. Get the fries and share it was a friend or two because it is perfect after a night of drinking, they also have drinks including bottled water(for those of you who may have drank too much).

They did. A great job once again. This is my favorite late night place. They do a gray job and service is great.

Not very impressed with the foods. Tacos were a little expensive and they weren’t even worth it. The asada fried? It was a huge disappointed.

Small but the tacos are pretty tasty. Simple menu and not a long wait. Gotta love these little eateries hidden off to the side. Love the $ 1 tacos. But the best thing of all is having a few drinks and having a late night bite to eat. Not to bad for this little joint. I’m a newbie to Albuquerque and happy that I got to try this cute taco spot out. Yes must try the fish taco and enjoyed their habanero hot sauce. Yummy and has a good kick to it. That’s coming from a lover of everything spicy! Fries are best when your a bit tipsy.

Went for the $ 1 fish tacos and truffle fries(which I found overpriced at $ 7). The tacos were very yummy! The fries, however were super soggy:-(I live exactly 41⁄3 blocks from this place(and was riding my 300cc scooter) so I don’t think they had enough time in the box to warrant the state they were in. Service was friendly but SUPERSLOW. You can see into the kitchen and those cooks could use some fire under their asses. They looked very ho hum about their job and were moving like molasses. Might return. Next time I’ll try and be drunk so I don’t care as much.

Holy Fish Taco Tuesday(and Thursday) Albuquerque! The Last call is MY upscale taco and burrito place of choice, and it’s not even upscale. I will say this though… I was asked once about best taco in ABQ, and they were the first to come to mind. Their street tacos are delicious. So much so I had honestly forgot about tacos that I’ve had at other establishments. I’ve frequented a little more lately because of work, and my burrito cravings. When leaving my place of employment I hope that it’s prior to their quirky 0234 closing time. I race to The Last Call’s little storefront, place la order, and wait. Wait for them to call our my card, yes, a playing card is your order number. Once more quirky, but truly novel. My only complaint if I’m to have one is that there is a fair amount of filler(potato) in the burros. Just a little more carne would be ideal, but the above is not enough to keep me from coming back. Between the melding flavors and the consistency it’s still a great burrito. And come to think of it I might have a second… I so wish they had Mexican Cokes… it would complete my meal every time, but that is just one mans opinion. Anywho, for those who want to experience The Last Call, but are wavering for some unknown reason. Go on Tuesday or Thursday and try their $ 1 fish tacos. They’re worth the full price, but how can you pass up a deal like $ 1 tacos. Really? How can you? For me, my experience at The Last Call started with tacos and has since broadened to the rest of the menu. It’s my upscale street food stand, and it’s tasty. Make it happen and see for yourself, because I’m sure you won’t be disappointed with the street food they provide.
