As a newbie to the Q, I had not had a chance to try these guys yet, though I’ve seen them all over town. Frankly, I was a bit apprehensive, as in my prehistoric opinion, an eatery should not specialize in two different diametrically opposing food items. I mean, you’ve got burrito joints, and you’ve got burger joints. You can’t have both under one roof, that’s just unamerican damn it! Merica! Well, what do I know? Apparently you can pull it off, the next thing you know, they’ll allow women to vote. Crazy times we’re living in huh? I must admit though, I was a bit intimidated when first walking in & looking up at that big bright yellow menu on the wall. So many choices, what to choose, what to choose? Since I had not had breakfast yet, I opted for the Supreme Breakfast Burrito. It sounded good, bacon, egg, potato, bean, green chile & cheese. As a green chile fan opposed to red, this seemed to be the appropriate choice. However, I must admit I was not wowed! The beans seemed to overpower all other flavors. It was a bit runny & not eggy enough for my liking, and I couldn’t detect any cheese at all to speak of. Now I’m not implying all their breakfast burritos are equally uninspiring, but this one just did not do it for me. Especially after drooling over my son’s Bacon Cheese Burger. I was instantly bummed & regretted my choice. It was big & beautiful, large hunks of bacon & seemingly juicy. My son gave it two thumbs up. My daughter had a regular cheeseburger, and naturally I stole a few bites… not bad! The fries weren’t bad either, they were curly fries, but not seasoned like many other fast food places, i.e. Arby’s, which admittedly are pretty good. On a logistical note, this location is quite small & the restrooms are out side, a la an old school gas station, though no key required. So, in summation, not diggin the burrito, but all about the burger & I’ll be returning for my own big burger one day, and so should all of you.

I used to really love Twister’s, but I must say I’m spoiled now that I’ve had Hurricane’s a bunch of times. I still do get down on some Twister’s(because let’s be frank, they keep way better hours than Hurricane’s) and they have some pretty awesome Daily Deals with 32 oz bevs included(all for $ 7.99!) This specific location was a little dirty and you had to wait a bit longer for the food, but hey, it delivered. The green chile chicken burrito was just as I remembered. Fries were fresh. Cheese was gooey and overflowin’! It’s a New Mex staple… we just gotta have it.

My husband loves their breakfast burritos, but I hate eggs do I got a bean and cheese burrito. It was so bad. Super salty, dry and the cheese wasn’t even melted. Booooooooo.

Could fast food actually be… Good? I never thought I’d see the day until I ordered a New Mexico breakfast burrito from Twisters. I’ve heard great things about this place, and I finally caved on my way to work and whipped in to the parking lot. The building had posters claiming they’ve been voted the best breakfast burrito in Albuquerque… I’ll admit, I was scared that Albuquerquians might have pretty low standards if they think a fast food place makes something, anything the best. I’ll jump right on this bandwagon because the breakfast burrito was absolutely delicious. I’m mad that I decided to eat there, only because now I won’t stop. Good spot!

First place I hit when I visited Abq. I also went because they filmed breaking bad here. Lol, but anyways I had the three meat burrito wet. I must say it was delicious, the green sauce in New Mexico is amongst the best I’ve ever had, it’s nothing like I’ve ever tasted. I highly recommend stopping by this place. You will not regret. Thank you New Mexico for your hospitality. I’m coming back for balloon festival.

Burritos are ok, low quality ingredients but the end result is alright. Customer service is very poor. Won’t be going back.

After hearing all the rave about how Breaking Bad was filmed in Twisters, I knew I had to give it a try. This Twisters is located near Kirkland AFB on Gibson and faces tough competition in a landscape of many other restaurants that boast their reigning champion of a breakfast burrito. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the authenticity of the hand-held New Mexico Burrito(Bacon, egg, potato, and green chile). I didn’t get mine with beans and thought it tasted great. It had a good homemade taste for a reasonable price. Because there was a long line waiting in the drive through I decided to order inside. I wasn’t overwhelmed at the service, or the inside as a whole, but I was able to order and leave within about 5 minutes. Saving me from having to wait in a long line. Overall, it was a decent change of pace from the everyday burrito of Betty’s Blues. If I’m in a hurry, I’ll consider stopping at Twister’s again.

So for the fast food category I would of given this place 5 stars based on the food, we went thru the drive thru and ordered the crispy chicken wraps which were fresh and very tasty. The reason for the 4 stars was based on the unfriendly customer service a smile goes along way but the lady on the drive thru acted like we were disturbing her. I also ran inside to change out my drink as it tasted funky and the inside of the restaurant smelt a little off putting I’m guessing that’s down to the variety of foods they are cooking the mixed smell wasn’t pleasant. We will return here though Just hope the service is a little friendlier next time.

This is my go to breakfast burrito stop on my way to work and the service is fast and there food is good, price is good and there friendly even when there slamed with the breakfast rush. I like the #12 with no potato. They have a drive thru that is also very fast for food made to order.

This is by far the best one I have been to. The wait was a little longer than the others and the seating area is small, but it is worth it. Food came out nice and hot! Tasted fresh, staff was very friendly.

Ever since my brother introduced me to Twisters in Aurora, CO(it started in NM), I’ve been hooked. Copious portions + reasonable prices = excellent value There’s a reason nutritional value is «coming soon» for 3 years on the web site. This is about flavor, not healthy eating, though chiles are supposed to be good for you. I dare you to order a smothered burrito. I feel like going to confession after every visit, but what a way to go…

Twisters is my go to place the day after indulging in one too many of the wonderful craft brews that we have here in the Duke City. A New Mexico Breakfast burrito(egg, potato, green chile, and cheese) smothered in their green chile sauce is perfection after a night of carousing. I always opt out of the cheese– yellow imitation cheese doesn’t do anything to enhance the flavor of the burrito, although it most certainly will enhance your waist. The chips and salsa is a good option as well– plain or supreme. The Green Chile stew is REALLYTASTY. It’s my go to option when I am feeling lazy, have a craving for something spicy, or want to warm up on a cold Albuquerque day. Carne adovada and chorizo breakfast burrito are surprisingly good. All in all, high quality fast food. I can’t imagine why anyone would go to the Taco Bell just down the street with an option like Twisters available.

The carne adovada burrito is way better than I expected it to be! Good work Twisters.

It was my first time at Twisters so I asked the employees for a suggestion. They suggested Carne Avovada(Potato, red chile, cheese) and I didn’t like it at all. The shredded beef was pretty salty and the flavor wasn’t pleasant at all. I’m sure that even though this suggestion didn’t go well, they most likely have something that I will like. So I’ll give this place another try some day. The weird thing about this place is that they serve burrito’s, burgers, corn dogs, and fries. It seems like this place is a fast food joint rather than a Chipotle kind of restaurant. Also, they didn’t have any Horchata which I was looking for. They have your usual soda’s and that was it.
