*NOTE: This review is for Warren Sandia Apartments. This Unilocal business page was the closest thing, however the address was slightly off. It’s located at 920 Louisiana Blvd. SE. — — — — — — — - ***WOW*** You know all the bad reviews you see about Warren Property locations? THEY’RESOTRUE!!! As you can say I’m an avid Unilocaler(but I’m known to take a long hiatus or two every now and then). I call it like it is, no sugar coating, and I’m always fair/objective. Just look through my other reviews. But Warren Sandia… Ugh… Geez… Where to begin??? You name it, they’ve got it: BEDBUGS, ROACHES, crackhead neighbors, thefts, ghetto office workers, and an overall feeling of the following words combined — «gross,» «unsafe,» and«cruddy.» Which is really a shame because they’re a great value(especially for a studio apt), they allow you to go month-to-month in your rental agreement, and they’re all bills paid… Where to begin… Hmmm. Well, after having my bike stolen(parked outside at the bike racks, locked) within one week of moving in I knew the area wasn’t a good one, but wait, it gets better! After experiencing the hardcore *cockroach* problem they have at this location, dealing with the crazy druggie living next door, the office personnel who mostly don’t give a f*ck about you or your apartment, and seeing the occasional hypodermic needle laying around outside, you decide this place just really, really sucks. The cherry on top of my experience was when, after they posted on our door for every insignificant thing under the sun, one day they didn’t post an advisory on our door about not being open one minor holiday and then charging us a $ 50 late fee when we paid the next day. Turns out our options were: We had to telepathically know to pay the day before they were closed or have had to luckily stopped in the office on a day before to see the one(1) sign posted there about it… WTF!!! What if you never really come by the office, like ourselves and the crowd of other angry tenants who were all standing outside the office on the day this happened?! To add insult to injury, the sign posted on the closed office door said not only had they recently terminated the«drop box» where you can pay rent to a closed office, but it went on to say that payments slipped under the door on dropped off after hours would still be late. So then of course calling the district office and then corporate did nothing. They were hard to get ahold of and then of course, and the most we could get out of them was the insanity of them saying, «if you had slipped it under the door, it wouldn’t have been late.» WHAT!!! That clearly wasn’t fair, and we told them about the sign posted, and nothing. Ultimately the decision wasn’t up to whoever we got on the phone, and the higher-up never called us back. Even moving out after the 6 month lease was over was fun(NOT!)… They tried to jip us on getting our deposit back… And after an hour on the phone they came to realize the error was on their part completely.
