This is my third update for this place. Clearly there is a wide range of doctors here. Dr. Leeman and Dr. Elder are incredible, but my experience with Dr. Okin still stands out as by far the worst doctor encounter I’ve ever had.
Anyway, this time I went in for an IUD check and ended up having to get it removed and have another one inserted, and Dr. Elder was incredibly patient and professional with me. She made sure I was comfortable with each step of the procedure before continuing. I’ll make sure to see her again if I ever need another ultrasound!

Yesterday, I had my first appointment (pap/​general check up) with certified nurse midwife Rebecca Leeman. She was great! LGTBQ supportive and sex positive, non-​judgemental, explained options I inquired about without hard selling any specific course of action, and she was willing to trust me and my knowledge about my body and my medical history. I have been looking for a long time for a women’s health medical provider that I can be comfortable with and Rebecca is it!

The absolute best female care I’ve had in YEARS! I’ve seen three different docs for an ongoing issue (you boyz have no clue, the perils of being a girl!), and they have all been fantastic– caring, compassionate, extremely knowledgable– just good, good, SO GOOD at what they do. I really cannot adequately express the sheer relief that I feel since finding this ah-​may-​zing clinic. And, might I add, the entire staff (admin, nurses, et al) are super rad too– I’ve been spending a lot of time there, lately, and they pretty much know me well and I appreciate their lovely familiarity. Makes me smile inside. Another fab find in Albuquerque. It’s official. I’m in love.
