Loved the jewelry and the customer service when I purchased a beautiful ring. However, shortly thereafter(9 mos.) the ring broke. I contacted the shop and they wanted to charge me to repair the ring. I would think a solid silver ring should not break easily and that they would stand behind the workmanship of the ring — especially because I only had the ring for such a short amount of time.

I liked it, I put a ring on it, and this place made the ring. Ah, jewelry, what a conflicted social beast you are. You adorn us for so many reasons: to promote fiscal status, make us stand out in the crowd, support our cultural identity, and decorate Jimmy’s hairy nasty chest with gold. You won’t find any thick gold chains at Zachary Gertrude(wasn’t it the other way around – Gertrude Zachary – for all of known existence?). You will find southwestern-styled stones, gems, necklaces, bracelets and earrings similar to the billboards plastered all over our freeways(and no, the models are suspiciously absent from the store). We enjoyed the customer service and felt somewhat comfortable with the selection we were offered for the big bling ring, although our perception of that experience has changed over the years. It’s striking that a company with such an interesting eye for fashion offered comparatively bland and conventional wedding ring options. The ring we finally settled on has had issues over the years, the gemstone has fallen out and needed some tweaking, which has taken effort and been rather costly. But then, isn’t that a great metaphor for marriage? Don’t tell my wife I said that… Overall, I applaud this business for consistently advertising its product with arguably middle-aged, Hispanic women, some of them a little full-figured. Right on!
