This small town health food store reminds me of the one I went to with my mom, growing up in a small town. Don’t expect this small business to compete with chains like Whole Foods or Wild Oats. It has character! The shop keeper gave me stamps on a frequent shopper card. Since I am a dork and introduced myself when I walked in the door, she gave me an extra stamp at check out, as a «welcome to the community!» Based on my preliminary investigations, they specialize in supplements and natural medicine. There are several isles of these health related products. The Apple tree also carries teas, locally made soaps, dry goods, and frozen foods. It is convenient for me to go her after getting bread and coffee next door at Panera. I got some teas, candies, and an awesome shampoo on my first trip. The teas I purchased(from India) supports women staying out of less reputable industries. Amen for that!
