I used to frequent this establishment probably 2 or 3 times per month, when they were seasonally open. I was feeling their prices were getting a bit high in comparison to some of the local competition that serves the same products. However, after the most recent visit, they only serve a small selection of Perry’s hard ice cream. All of their soft serve and frozen confections, gone. Shame. This was one of my favorite places to stop, as it was close to home.

I used to work at Tim Hortons, and when they first told me we had to wear hair nets, everyone was like«Gee… Nets?» Then days later someone asked which NBA team moved from NJ to Brooklyn, and someone said… «gee… Nets!» These words kept coming up until finally someone became obsessed with them and opened up an ice cream place named after those words. I found the ice cream here to be pretty standard, it was soft serve frozen custard and they also serve Perry’s(I think?), the custard didn’t really do anything for me, reminded me of McDonalds. I didn’t finish it, and gave it away to some kids I know with less discerning taste. I’d probably have given them a 4 just to be friendly, but the cone was a bit stale tasting too, and the service wasn’t great. She was very nice, but she was an employee of the adjoining Geoffano’s and didn’t know how to serve the ice cream or use the cash register, so it took a decent 7 or 8 minutes to complete the late night transaction. The girl who did work at Jeannette’s was in the back and was cleaning and didn’t want to come out and help, so it was a little frustrating for both of us. The Pizza girl kept asking me if I knew which cone, if I knew which lever, if I knew how to get the draw to open. It was super cute and adorable, but I thought the ice cream employee shouldn’t have put her(and a customer) in a situation like that just because she wanted to get out of there(it was about 25 mins til closing). Nevertheless, come and try this ice cream, it’s a good alternative to Frosty’s and Pink Cow which are a few miles in either direction along Broadway.
