If they kept sending you junk mail about their store, they’d be Spam Hortons. This is a shiny new Hortons way out in the middle of nowhere in Alden, home of La Paloma Pizza, which is a shockingly cheap and surprisingly amazing little pizzeria. You should try it, it’s insanely good. But let’s focus on the matter at hand. The coffee here was surprisingly good, because these little village Hortons often get it wrong. It was hot, milky, and sweet, they hit all the bases. And it’s in an area with no Hortons, and it’s open as late as you need it to be, so it should really get a 4 or 5 right? Wrong! Service wasn’t so friendly, so that’s –1, and then the wait time… oh my goodness! I dunno if I’ve ever waited so long at a Hortons, and there were only 5 cars in front. Please people, send the cars round to the front door so you can process people with small orders! Wasted a lot of time waiting for this coffee. So I average out the rating to a 3, but yay for a Hortons in Alden, saving a very long drive to Transit Rd or thereabouts. Chain info: Canadian coffee chain that is literally all over Buffalo, where I always order the 4&4 which you should try… it’s very milky and very sweet and very delicious. It is for a good friend, but I always have some of it first(since I’m usually paying for it these days) and then judge it compared to all the other locations in town. And if this were an Irish coffee shop, it’d be Liam Hortons. And would also sell Guinness and Potatoes. And Leprechauns. And Lucky Charms. And you’d always be after their Lucky Charms, wee lassie.
