When a bag of chips is the best item they serve… It’s a problem. Good music, cheap beer, terrible margaritas. Dry brisket multiple times, try a salad or a bag of chips instead. I don’t know what type of wood they use for smoking but it leaves a bad taste. Service is good though, Channing was a big help.

Had to give it another try. First off, my draft beer was served in an ice cold mug, awesome! Ordered a bowl of cowboy beans. Have had them before and they were mighty tasty! And I have to day still delicious. My last visit I wad extremely disappointed with the ribs. But happy to say beer is still I’ve cold, cowboy beams still delicious!

Awesome food and awesome service! My husband had the ribs, I had a smoked turkey sandwich — both were terrific and came out fast, despite us sitting in the bar, busy and one waitress, who really did a great job! Two thumbs up!

Nice place to eat, Railhead Burger and fries, Cold beer on draft and nice waiter staff. It’s a bit pricey for a burger and nothing really special about the food. Fries greasy, but that’s probably the way a lot of people like it. I’m sure people go there as it’s very spacious. I think the have entertainment in the evenings. The tab is different, it looks like they are taxing you twice without a explanation. Even had the wait staff stumped when asked to explain it. It’s not a place I would drive out of my way to get there. I’ve eaten there a few times. Noisy atmosphere, but if your hungry it’s okay and not great.

I live very close and have made the mistake repetitively to give this place a try, bar and crowd are always busy and nice, the ACTUALMEATTHOUGHPROBABLYTHEWORST, I guess unfortunately I’ve had better than dickies so this place is worst than furs cafeteria

Terrible, our server was awful. She was talking to other people while taking our orders, so we had to continuously repeat ourselves. The food was terrible, bone was literally melted into the meat(never seen anything like that) the flavor was not good at all. The sausage, you guessed it terrible. I’ve been twice to two different locations just to see the difference and I will never go to either one again, I don’t get how the get so much traffic through the doors. Must be the beer.

I usually really enjoy this place but tonight was out of whack. I ordered the catfish and it was tiny pieces, more breading than fish. My baked potato was lukewarm. My dinner date was especially annoyed. He ordered the half chicken on Saturday that is called«Tuesday’s Special» and he said it sure did taste like it was cooked on Tuesday, not today. It was dry and cold, with a flavor in his words«taste like sap from wood». He took two bites then pushed it aside. The server picked up his plate with a full meal on it and never said a word. Save your money and go somewhere else. But I must say– the beer was good!

OKBBQ– my husband has had some super fatty brisket which even looked gross. I order the smoked chicken and its pretty good. My favorite are the Fish Tacos– strange at a BBQ restaurant but they are delicious! As in, pregnancy craving, delicious!

I have been here about four times and every single time the service was LOUSY. There won’t be a fifth.

This is an easy place to get to, with average food. There are several options for protein, but pork is not one of them(except as a special on a weekend night). The brisket is way over-cooked and dry. The sausage is decent. I’ve tried almost all of the sides, and I would not be anxious to have any of them again. Although the food is mediocre and expensive, the portions are very large. One of the biggest pluses is that alcohol is available on premises, which is unusual for the area. There is a nice outdoor seating area(very sizable), and there is live music. Because there are so few restaurant options(and even less with alcohol) in Aledo/Willow Park, this place is always packed. Given the quality of the food, though, it’s one that I’m more inclined to skip than to patronize on a regular basis.

Meh– BBQ is ok but prices are Cadillac. Staff seemed bored and uninterested when I went in to order a $ 75 to go order. They have live bands a few nights a week but I think the music and beer are the main draws. I haven’t tried the parent place in FW but I probably won’t return to this location. A few miles down in Hudson Oaks and the BBQ and service are top notch.

I just recently moved to the area and I’ve called Railhead Smokehouse twice. The first time, the phone rang for well over eight rings before someone answered. The second time I called, it rang well over eight rings and then I was put on hold. It was six minutes before someone picked up the phone again to take my order. When someone finally did come back on the line to take my order, she was pretty unfriendly. She seemed a little put-out that I called to place an order. I have trouble believing that the establishment is so busy in the late part of the afternoon on a Saturday that they cannot answer the phone, before four rings, and take an order. The food was decent, but I’ve definitely had better barbeque for much better prices.

I go here weekly. Best BBQ around. I love the smoked turkey. Service is awesome. 95.9 The Ranch comes out on Tuesdays during the summer for a country music competition, which is always a blast! This place is hands down, one of my favorite places! Oh, and on Sunday’s they have discounted draft beer.

There’s a lot of good BBQ places around Weatherford/West Fort Worth… this isn’t one of those places. We had 2 chopped beef sandwiches… both tasted almost bitter, were soggy and seemed over smoked. I was overcharged for the sides, and when I asked about this they said it was because I was getting larger sides than was included in the combos(we were going to split an order of beans/fries) but the sides we got were pretty much single portions. About $ 4 overcharge… and even the receipt wasn’t itemized… so bad BBQ and shady prices… yeah I’ll not be back.

Okay food, decent atmosphere when the locals went hogging the bar area. Good live music.

Railhead seems hit or miss to me. I have had totally different tasting meals here and that kind of knocks it down a notch. Nothing has been bad, but the inconsistency is not the mark of a good kitchen. BBQ is fine, nothing exciting. Maybe that’s due to the inconsistency.

This is an update to my previous review. We have been twice more since the first review and the food each time has been subpar. The chicken dry, the vegetables taste like they were frozen and overcooked in a microwave with zero taste and the fish tacos are strange — made with lettuce instead of cabbage and taste like frozen fish reheated poorly. It is hard to even describe how poor quality the food is. The staff however remains upbeat and friendly and the atmosphere is so so amazing, but unfortunately neither of these things are enough to keep our business. I actually want for my family and I to be able to eat their meals.

I really like the atmosphere here! I personally love the food here but members of my family are not too crazy about it but go here with me to make me happy sometimes. The service here is never really«great»… about 90% of the time it’s hard to get what you need and service is slow. I like the nights they have a live band it makes for a good family night.

This place is always packed at night and I still haven’t figured out why. I’ve eaten on the patio for lunch once and picked up dinner at the drive-through window last night and was not impressed either time. Good: –Drive-through window is really convenient –Nice, spacious patio –Brisket had decent flavor, but was dry and cut in chunks rather than slices Bad: –Beer selection sucks –Smoked turkey was mushy and tasted like Spam –Veggies were obviously frozen –The kid at the drive-through window forgot to give us pickles and onions as we requested I think people frequent this place more for the atmosphere than the food. Parker Station Smoke House has much better meats, but it’s located in a gas station.

This was terrible. We ordered 7 bbq sandwiches for takeout. The total was $ 81 which I thought was ridiculous. It seemed even more ridiculous when I got them home. They were so incredibly greasy that they were essentially inedible(see photo). Grease leaked out of the bag all over my wife’s leg. The French fries looked like they had been soaked in water. I drove all the way back to return it for a refund. I have to admit that the manager handled the situation really well. She refunded my money and gave me a gift certificate with an apology and a request to give them another chance. Because of the way she handled it, I will give them another chance and post another review if it’s positive.
