The sunday breakfast at Catherines is outstanding. I have been there many times and have always appreciated the attention by the staff and the menu selections. Very upscale experience. Try the eggs benny and the french toast with strawberries.

Good sandwiches in a clean neat atmosphere. You are eating in the back of a grocery store, in a small restaurant where you order before walking in. The grocery store reminds me of a small whole foods in terms of quality and price.
I had a beef wrap that was really delicious. Cary had their chicken salad plate and though it was bland.
I hear they will pick you up at the shore which would add to the usefulness of this place.

THE ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. We come here frequently as its the only place around. It does have a great selection and good food which is why I’m giving it 2 stars. However, it’s service has to be the worst in the South. At 1059 you have to wait for lunch at 11 regardless if anyone is in the building. At 11 breakfast stops regardless for same reasons. The guy at cash register just sat their looking at either his phone or clock in wall while I stood their by myself in line with my two kids. He asked at 1059 if he could help me and I repeated that I’m waiting in lunch. He stood their for another 30 seconds until the clock hit 11 and said ok, you can order now. They are Snotty, role their eyes at you and generally not friendly at all.

Great for breakfast but food takes a while! Hope for a nice day outside on the patio and the wait isn’t too bad. Hashbrowns are way to fried… would skip! Grits are creamy and they have good southern ice! As far as shopping, limited packaged items but have everything you could need meat/​deli wise. $$$

Catherine’s is great. We drive the boat over and they send a golf cart to take us to the restaurant/​store. We love the bakery items, especially the cinnamon rolls. The meat and the butchers are great. The store has a limited selection, but you can get all the staples. It may be a bit on the pricey side, but cheaper than driving to Auburn, Alex City, or Tallassee.

I eat at Catherine’s all of the time, and have never been disappointed. Recently I have also had occasion to shop in the grocery side. We forgot a few key (and obscure) ingredients for our Memorial Day BBQ. Catherine’s had them all, which was remarkable since we are 15 miles from the nearest big box grocery store.
